Yes the diff will work you will have to get some parts off a 280zx to make it work.
Also if you want to use the calipers that shouldn't be to hard. 5 lug can be done but other than that you might use the 5spd if you want a stronger trans, you could adapt the fuel pump, master cylinder and the seats. That's about all that I can think of that I could use from a Z32.
Do a little look in the parts section to see what you might get for trades or a part out.
i dont mean to bash, but you are making it sound too easy haha. as the others have said it would take a lot of custom work/fab to make many of those parts listed "work" on the s30. of course it is possible, but nothing is going to be a true "bolt-on" swap as i think you are looking for.

also don't forget to consider building the L or even swapping to an RB
anyways welcome to the forum! search is your friend as there is TONS of good information here.
had to put my two cents for the L6 crowd haha.

its a cool find. Too bad it isn't a 75 or earlier. Other than the cool factor of having an actual fairlady z, i don't think there is too much of a difference. it would be a shame to see a authentic one chopped up for a rhd clip for conversion.. =( However if it actually was a Z432 that would be 1000000% super lucky keeper and worth every penny to restore..too bad it isn't.

i also think that 18s/19s would look too big/off balance on a car with stock body (ie no air dam, no sideskirts etc). Personally the biggest I would go would be 16s, and just get a wide rim. You can pull it off, you just need other body parts or the car will look skinny with big rims imo.

thats crazy how they confused two totally different cars that are extremely not similar. lol but yeah that is a good motto for us. So many different kinds of swaps and mods on this forum.

great job so far! im kind of sad to see a s13 being parted out for the Z, since i also have an s13 haha. how exactly are you planning to do the s12 suspension conversion with s13 knuckles? or did i read that wrong lol..

there is a guy down the street from me that loves fieros...has four of them lol. that collector list can be interpreted as "someones" list of cheap collector cars. 85-93 Mustang being collectable???? grossssss, not my list for sure haha.

This is the second forum that has changed on me within the last few weeks. I don't like change!!
i had issues seeing the forum in red and now this blue color..but i like the blue WAY better than the red. BTW nice work on the swap! =)

glad you got everything worked out. how are you liking the Z with a VG30 so far?
-
well what was the user rating on ebay? if it is pretty high then it might have just been a simple mixup, and calling them for sure will help a lot more than emailing. if it is low, then shouldnt buy from them anyways haha.

when i was looking around in our area at some of those around that price range i saw some pretty horrible stuff. funny i found a better condition one out of state! maybe i just had some bad luck, but it is true that there are a lot of Zs for sale in the bay area. i see a bunch on craigslist all the time.

definitely sounds like it is worth taking a look at! post up some pictures when you can, there are many auto body gurus on the forums.

as undesirable and somewhat of bastard/abomination.
LOL!
anyways it is an original car, of course it isnt lowered haha.

hopefully it goes smoothly, when the time comes i will have to find something else to read at work

Congrats on the healthy dyno numbers Johan!

welcome s30rb25! looks like you found a very good answer to your question!

i am most likely going the stock tank with a surge route. like it is said, is a cheap can worth the risk of leakage in a wreck if poorly installed?
-
if the gauge is already out of the car, you can also just hook it up directly to the sending unit on the engine. while its running you can just verify if it works or not. boiling water in a pot with a sending unit is also smart because you can verify if the gauge is reading somewhat accurately.

well by tweaked i mean physically bent and would need some rust work on the underside. so im just weighing either replacing it with a mint newer 240z one i found or doing the work on the original.
-
so i have a feb '71 240z. i was looking for a replacement rear hatch because mine seems somewhat tweaked and has a lot of issues. i found a hatch listed for sale that says 72-73. the only difference i know of is just the earlier 70 hatches have the interior vent. however since i have a 71, shoudlnt the rest of the later year 240z hatches be identical to mine?

thumbs up, good looking Z! good fitment and stance drooool

im digging the paint job and the flares
