There are alot of guys here that use the ls1 fuel tank. I don't have any pictures right now but you would only see the spare tire well in my trunk area cut out and the top of the tank. Look it up in the search button. there are write ups on how to do it. The only thing you have to do to the fuel pump is knock out the pressure regulator that is built into the pump.

I'm use speed hut gauges so its going to be alittle different. But you don't have to hookup the speed sense wire to the ecu. You can just grab the two wires coming off the speed sensor on the tranny. If i remember right theres only two sensors on the tranny and the other is a neutral safety switch and reverse. (they are on the same plug) and the other plug has two wires for the speed sense/ground. I've got mine all wired up but not calibrated yet to read the correct speed.

I took out the stock tank and cutout the spare tire well and mounted a camaro LS1 plastic tank. I paid a $100 for it with the fuel pump and sending unit. Then ran new lines foward. I figuared to find a good tank and buying the pump this was just a cheaper and easier way to go if you don't mind cutting the spare tire well.

what year 280z is it? I think the 77 and 78 are different than the other years. I might still have a set off of a 78 if your interested.

I did an sr because it will get the power I'm looking for and the aftermarket support is there. The price for the aftermarket stuff is reasonable and there is a ton of parts available used if your willing to look for it. Plus there is alot of info and US market nissan parts that will fit and work if something were to break. But the RB26 does have the cool factor.

I read Bartman's post already. I want to use auto meter gauges so I can make them all match. and they don't list a gauge that are within the ohms for the ls1 sending unit.

What fuel gauge are you guys using that have a ls1 fuel tank? I've been looking around and can't figuare it out.

Is using a KA24DE MAF sensor on a SR20DET a good idea?

I've got a stock sr20det maf that i'll sell to you. I never ran it but it came off of my motor set. -
