  1. Absolutely awesome!! well done this looks great! i have been scratching my head about getting a taller final gear. so you needed G35 auto diff G35 half shafts G35 stubs?? NA z32 subframe. any help greatly appreciated.
  2. Hey just a quick update i know there are alot of pictures in this thread but when i was looking for z32 lsx modified sumps i could find ANY so to help anyone who is going to undertake this here are some more of the completed sump. It may be modified in the future to have additional capacity.
  3. how deep is your pan? i already have a corvette pan and will be modding it. i want a fair bit of clearance for the sump as it will be tracked and driven hard. i took my pan of today to look at the clearance side of things before i go chopping up my new pan. looks like im really not gonna be able to achieve a hell of alot with the windage tray in the way? the f body doesnt run it at the front would it matter that much if i didnt run it at all accept right near the back over the actual "sump" section?
  4. Ok my fabricator is finally getting his ass into gear.....some time soon. so my freind is a sheet metal fabricator and he is going to do the sump for me. Now i want the engine sitting as low as possible. can I make the sump res almost on the crank scraper? this car will be tracked hard and have an accusump for reasurance? i want to know basically how low i can tell my freind to make the sump? Here are pictures of a drift zed with a ls1 fitted it is turbo making over 550rwhp.
  5. how did you/are you going to mount the gearbox are you going to use the stock mounting holes?? my motor/gearbox and all should be going to the fabricator soon to get everything put in place and just want to know what other people have done. thanks
  6. sounds like a very interesting project you have going make sure you post up some pics??
  7. Man i love this car! i thought 280zx were alright until i saw this one and your work is super, keep it up things like this get me inspired.
  8. Hey guys i have a z32 lsx project car and my dads nissan patrol rolled into the back of it. There has been significant damdge and stripping the car has revealed rust were the damage has occured. My panel beater thinks that he will just hammer it out though i think its past the point of no repair and needs to be cut and welded to make it look and actually be structually strong? any advice greatly appreciated
  9. Sweet cheers for the link for the adapters been thinking about how to solve this problem.
  10. Hey everyone i have done some searching on the forum and read a few posts but there is nothing specifc for the z32-ls1 combo so this will be it! A very basic thread from stripping to the final product i will take picks and ask questions along the way. Here are the two harnesses z32 alternator/Battery harness 1. Power to left handside of engine bay 2. Z32 original manual wiring harness (reverse, speed sensor...i think??) 3. Z32 alternator combo 4. Z32 starter connection Ls1 alternator/Battery harness 1. This is the starter motor connection 2. This is the alternator connection combo If there is anything to add/corrections please let me know. I would like someone with electrical knowledge to advise me on how to combine the two?? at the moment i am slightly confused on how to initially attack it? Thanks
  11. Is this a kit that will have to cut the firewall???
  12. hehehe well when you put it like that maybe not then lol. I will put it like this, i will try and get the engine sitting as far back and as low as possible without touching the suspension geometry ie lowering the rack because ideally i want it to be a street registered track car. So i will be getting the pan modified, cutting and shutting the front part of the pan so it run really close to the windage tray and possibly extending the bottom section for a tad more capacity. i will post pics up when ive done it. should have this sitting in there soon!!!! btw if had to move the clutch master cylinder so will be looking into floor mounted pedal boxes.
  13. PICTURES!! engine still needs to be dropped 150mm and alot further back. opinions anyone? My dad amazed by the amount of room!!
  14. So i lowered it in today sorry thats theres not pics couldnt find the battery for the camera Because my zed is right hand drive it looks like I will definately have to move the clutch master cylinder. The sump will have to be cut significantly to fit in basically totally rebuild the sump. Someone really needs to develop a pan for this swap!!!!
