  3. Just curious if this is the TPS uncovered... It has apparently fallen off and was wondering if there was a replacement for just the cover?? Can't seem to find the part number for just the cover...
  4. Just curious can't find what it's called exactly but it's the rubber that's attached to the chrome trip along the bottom of the roll down windows. There's a huge gap between the window and the rubber which is allowing rain water to run down the window into the door. The rubber is pretty hard so I think it may be warped??

  6. Going to be changing the rotors out and have read that if your doing that might as well do the bearings too. Ive gone over the read up on Atlanticz and was just curious to what kit everyone has gotten.   8. Just want to replace the passenger side panel on my 280z some listing on but they're 280z 2+2.. I know the car is a bit longer because of the extra seats and was wondering if that included the doors.. Also anyone know the actual part number for 75 280z 4speed transmission fill plug? I have these to chose from Part No. Model Applied Date Qty Ica Superceded From To N F PLUG 00931-11210 4 SPEED - 7607 1 01642-00011 4 SPEED 7608 - 7703 1 01642-00021 4 SPEED 7704 - 1 01642-00011 my guess is the 01642-00021?
  9. Just ripped off this felt cushion on the passenger door to revel the interior panel full of holes.. Wondering if anyone was one for sale in good condition the color is Black with a tortious brown trim
  10. So I just noticed that when my Z idles down from 3000-800 their's a couple pops noise coming out of the exhaust... No black smoke coming out or when it pops...I was reading about this issue on the Zcar forum someone said it maybe caused by the fuel injectors.. Last week I had 2 injectors leaking fuel noticed a strong fuel smell sometimes on cold start..So I checked the fuel injector clamps on the 2 and they weren't tighten down all the way so I screwed them down and haven't had a issue since. The idle tho has been kinda fickle lately... most of the time it idles around 800 but the other day after running it for 40 minutes the car was idling around 1500rpm. I adjusted the screw to set it back to 800 and haven't run into that issue again Tho weird thing is after doing that idle adjustment, the car starts up and idles at 800rpm, not the 1000rpm like it used to on a cold start.. Wires and plugs are all new and from what I was told by the last owner the injectors have been changed.. Also off topic does anyone have a issue with there speedometer kinda wobble while driving like floating up and down?

So this just happened I opened the door and it was making this loud popping noise when I went to investigate I saw what I guess is the roller making the noise and when I tugged on it the roller popped out with the broken pin and the spring popped off. The Door opens and closes fine just wondering do I need to replace the whole hinge since the pin snapped or can I just get a new Roller Pin and how much of a pain in the ass is the job.. Also is it ok to use the door how it is? The Z is currently my daily driver...

  15. Just wondering what some people do when they do there manuel transmission fluid change. I just bought 3qts of MTL-90 and I was wondering if anyone does a flush before they change over to synthetic or do you just drain and fill ? Also if you do a flush what do you guys use? From this tech tip http://atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/mtl/index.html he says he just uses some type of diesel oil.
  16. I'm looking for a pretty good guide to do an valve adjustment. I've never done one on a car so I was wondering what tools I should get and supplies. I've seen the hot adjustment on the altanticz forum but I don't quite understand it. I also have the FSM and I'm not seeing how to preform the adjustment just what the clearance of the exhuast and intake measurements should be.
  17. Just curious if there's a con to just going and buying a refurbished beck/arnley alternator from advance Auto. I know the 280zx swap is very common but there seems to be a lot of rewiring. Would you have to do the same rewiring if you went with the Beck/Arnley or is it just plug and play. Also I would assume the Beck/Arnley has a more upgrade would have the built in solid-state voltage regualtor or is it built exactly like the stock 280z that requires the use of the external mechanical voltage regulator?
  18. So ran it again during the day and it did run a bit warmer... Also I had the car turned off and when I went to turn it back on it started idling around 500Rpms and died... Think I'm gonna try to get this Valve Adjustment going is there pretty good DIY post on here? I saw the one on Atlantic z forum
  19. So nighttime driving seemed to go pretty well drove the it for about 20 minutes and got it on I-4 up to 80 and no flux in the Temp Gauge.. Maybe I got a air bubble out when I tested the Radiator Temp... anyways one finally test during the day to see if it Fluxes bad like it did yesterday. Thanks for the input from everyone!
  20. Ya I've spoken with him a couple times.. Speaking of the cooling fluid getting to the Engine I think it is. See I couldn't get the Water Drain plug off the block so what I did was just drain and fill the Radiator ran the car and rinsed and repeat till it wasnt green anymore. So I know the clean water was getting through to the engine and pushing the old coolant out I would guess.. Going to go for a drive right now and see if there's any difference since its cooler
