  1. Check Google, and maybe eBay. Both have a lot of RB parts.
  2. All of the sites that I have seen with actual flow #s, come up with nearly the same flow on the 25 and 26 heads. The ports are almost identical if you look at them side by side. The RB25 intake is actually larger on the opening than the RB26, due to a larger cut for the injector spray path. As far as porting, they are about the same as well. I cut up an RB26 head with a band saw, which showed the ports from the water jacket side, to see how far you can port it, and it looks the same at the RB25 head.
  3. Calico is a coating, like Swain. Calico is VERY heavy into Nascar and Circle Track racing. They will coat damn nead anything that you want. The bearings in the auction above, are ACL bearings, that have been coated by Calico. Probably the best you can get for the money.
  4. I am willing to bet that if you had race gas in it, you would not have broken a piston. Do you have pictures of the top of the pistons? The RB25 and RB26 pistons are made of the same material, ie: cast. The RB26 oem pistons have made nearly 1000 crank HP at 9500. This was on C16 and no detonation though.
  5. RB25 will go WAY past 8K with an aftermarket intake. The stock intake is rather restrictive at higher RPMs. I spin my RB25 to 8K all of the time on stock cams. It makes more than enough power to smack the rev limiter in 1st and 2nd gear. Of course you are going to need a turbo that will flow enough air to make it worth your while.
  6. Probably had some weak coils. The Series II coils are very finicky. They do not like to get hot either. Swapping out the stock Series II coils with some LS1 syle coils will get rid of your mis-fire.
  7. Were you spraying on pump gas? It sounds like you detonated it, that is what broke the ring lands.
  8. If you are running the stock Series II coils, you probably need to upgrade them. Also, take the coil cover off, the coils do not like to get hot. Any air flow that you can give them is good. I had problems on the dyno with my Series II RB25DET after a few pulls. We ran the shop fans on over the coils to cool them off, and the mis fire went away. I better hurry and get my TH400 in the S13, I want to be the first stock long block RB25 in the 9s!
  9. AEM is now shipping the EMS for the RB20/25/26.
  10. NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM FLASH OPTIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We have had dozens of customers call us and tell us that they paid via Wire Transfer for their clips and are waiting anywhere from 6-12 months. Flash Options does not tell you that up front though. NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM FLASH OPTIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is not a bash on Flash Options, it is a warning to all potential buyers of their clips.
  11. I am selling my RB25DET. It was in my 89 240sx, but I took it out to put in an SR20DET. I am developing a turbo kit for the SR20DET, and I want to use my own car for testing. The RB25DET is a complete swap for an S13, but you could put this into any Z. We have put an SR20DET into a 1972 Z and we would be more than happy to put this RB25DET into your Z. Here are some pics of the SR20DET powered 72 240Z Here is the link to the Ebay auction for the RB25DET. Thanks!
