  1. Haha! I said the same thing. My friend was like dude that would be your car getting hit lol. But as for the movie, i enjoyed it. Apparently the super die hard Terminator fans didn't like it, but eh, you can't please everybody.
  2. I just got back from the midnight show! It was pretty good, better than i expected anyway. If you go watch it, in one of the motorcycle-terminator(i don't remember what they were called) scenes you can see a 280zx get slammed by some debris. Keep an eye out! I thought it was pretty cool anyway:burnout:
  3. Jerry At ALL Z In Ft Worth is amazing. Enough said.
  4. WOMEN woldson...women HAHA! Im kiddidng I am. But yea it turned out to be the headgasket! She got another car so she's happy.
  5. Thanks guys! Yea i thought headgasket also, she was spewing water like nobody's business. (His fiance, hahah!) I'll pull a plug tomorrow.
  6. Im sorry if this is posted in the wrong place. Anyway, my friend called me and said his fiance was driving home from work and her car "died". He couldn't really give me details as his fiance was mad and just wanted it fixed. He told me over the phone that the car would start for a few seconds and then turn off. So i went to take a look at it this morning, the car turned over but wouldn't even start. I tried jumping it just in case, no cigar. I listened carefully and the fuel pump was working. I had some starter fluid on me and when i opened the air tube from the throttle body there was quite a bit of oil. I don't like to over react so i was like, possible blow by? PCV maybe? The car started when i sprayed the starting fluid but was blowing what looked like coolant mixed with oil out of the throttle body! And then it would die when i stopped spraying. I cleaned the throttle body as best i could, but still it was spewing what looked like a mix of water and oil. I couldn't help but think there was some ring failiure.. Any ideas? I wasn't able to take a really long look at it because i had class in an hour. Its a POS 2003 sunfire by the way!
  7. Ohhh the God particle =) Come on Large Hadron Collider!!!
  8. I guess you can start with the fact that the 280zxt ECU is programmed to run on the stock 260cc injectors. Therefore, you can only really up the boost to about 10lbs. With the z31 swap you have more options available in your EFI setup. Some swap the stock AFM to a cobra MAF. Some things like timing is controlled by the ECU so you'd need an encoder disk from a 300zx yada yada yada. The details of the swap are all over the site. When it comes down to it, its probably better to use Megasquirt or another EMS. It all depends on what the goals are for you car. You need lots of time and $$$$
  9. God Yasin's car is BA!....but i think you should look at phil280zxt's intercooler example since his is a bit more stock =) lol. But i guess it probably won't be of as much use since you said your inlet/outlet are on the same side.
  10. Its despicable about the lack of effort, and attention some people put into their work. And it sickens me more that someone would do that horrible of a job to someone else's car. I really feel bad for that guy.... :/
  11. Here ya go phil! "Short term exposure to methanol vapor can irritate the eyes, nose and throat and cause headache, nausea, throwing up, dizziness and trouble breathing. other common symptoms of drunkenness, such as lightheadedness, giddiness, blurred vision and dilated pupils, might also appear. the symptoms depend on the level and length of exposure and can vary from person to person. Industrial exposures to methanol vapors can cause death or blindness. many reported incidents have involved working in confined spaces without proper ventilation or respiratory protection. fortunately, increased awareness of the dangers of methanol, combined with safer work practices, have reduced the number of serious poisonings in recent years." That information came from this site http://www.safety-council.org/info/OSH/methanol.htm
  12. Have you made sure all vaccum lines are ok? Maybe you're FPR is failing or not connected correctly. I always start small and work my way up. Check spark plugs, cap rotor.
  13. Thanks alot guys. Well i remember when the police interviewed us both she said she was fine and not injured. Anyways, Allstate has everything covered pretty much, i just have to go testify. Surprisingly my rates never went up. And i was 17 then so i would have thought they would have. But thanks again for the input. On a lighter note..... i bought a very tired 280z today! It runs like heck...but it still runs! =)
  14. Same law here in texas. I guess technically its almost two years since the incident.
