Im thinking... I may just cut the hood under the bottom with our Saw Zall. and either buy a new hood, or get hood pins.
-
Ok, so going under the car wasnt going to work. Sorry for such a long response time guys. So someone told me to undo the bolts on the hood from the front and lift the hood to pop it. Also not working. I am very tempted to just break the hood to get it off . I have tried lifting it and using a screw driver to pop the hood and lift it, but also not happening. If someone in the the Phx/tucson area can help, I will totally buy pizza/give gas money to help me get this damn hood done. I havent driven her in almost a month now, and its driving me crazy.

Yeah seriously, if you want to have a nice wad of cash sell that dash and you'll have a decent amount of money to get your car done. Nice find, though

If you want a V8 (LS2 or LS2 Supercharged or a LS7) in a Sky or a Solstice go look at http://www.mallettcars.com/sky-conversion.htm They get expensive, but I bet they move like hell on wheels. Mega sleeper too

They do come off, but I don't want to go get the holes filled and get it re chromed, and I think there is some discoloration on mine under the bumps

I really want that front bumper off of the blue one with the hood half way off. I really like the silver without the 2 humps on it, and mine has the 2 humps. If anyone is going to the yard could you pick it up for me cheap? and I will pay you for it + shipping? Please PM me if thats cool?

Congrats on the car dude. Its awesome. I will have to go see the movie now to check it out. Hopefully they will have you do a race scene and kill some cars. If they want to make you lose to Honda, ill cry haha

Which Diff ratio would be best on a FI LSx or 350 setup?

Looks awesome! I bet your relieved, I would be

I think it looks cool honestly. Probably not practical at high speeds but meh.

Even though its a rag top, I think it could work.

I'll sell you my Z for $5000 Shes in really good shape =]

I guess thats what I need to figure out. I am using the 4 speed auto tranny that came with the LS1. I would like to have a really fast street car that will be fast with slicks at the 1/4 mile.

I'm getting around 17 around town which is really pretty good considering I only get to drive it usually 2-5 miles at a time, and like the way it sounds when I get on it. My tires are almost shot. I drove it on a short day trip, 240 miles, mostly on the freeway, 85-95 mph with several quick blasts well up over 100. Got 24.78 for the trip. I was happy with that. I never got that good with the L28 even on long trips.
Mike
Thats pretty decent mpg.
Also thanks for that link. For some reason I couldnt get to that page last night.

JCI mounts & bracket $295.00
JCI Tranny mount $135.00
I just need to get those 2 parts so i can get my LS1 in my Z. Once its in the Z I can be patient for more money to come in. Where did you find those priced? I heard from another member that his mounting kit was $1,200! Links please?
