  1. Sorry to chime in. I had the same problem with my l28 turbo until a friend of mine who used to build engines told me that under no circumstances, I should not use oil on the bolt threads it causes a hydraulic effect on the torque, and affects torque pounds as well. We were both looking at the pictures and he suggests that it seems like the proper torque sequence was incorrect. He suggested that I use a very light touch of anti seize on bolt threads.
  2. I have one I took out of my 1979 280zx automatic. The ratio is 3:54. You can steal it from me for 75.00, or take the diffy and halfshafts for 100.00 Im IN THE LOS ANGELES AREA. HENRY 323-261-7230 HOME 323-627-8750 CELL
  3. Im very sorry about not defining or illustrating the VCV. It is located on the 4th runner on the intake manifold. The VCV is located within the AAC or idle up units. It is threaded in the 4th runner. Remove it and blow in it from both sides. If it does not hold the vacuum it is ruined. It kind of relates to a pcv valve. Best of all, blow on it from the threaded side and it must hold the vacuum. While you are doing that, press the top with a small nail to see if the grommet is ruined and or see if it is holding the vacuum you are creating. TEST THIS FIRST PRIOR TO TESTING THE AAC VALVE. I got an extra vcv you can have for FREE.
  4. I will trade your wheels for my turbo wheels. Im in east los angeles not to far from you. They have very good meat/ FALKEN tires in then. 323-261-7230
  5. I encountered this same problem, if youre utilizing the stock zxt intake manifold, check your blow of valve. It is located in intake manifold runners. It is threaded in the manifold. There is some rubber gromet that creates a vacuum when it tears. It is probably torn and bypassing vacuum.
  6. Anybody have a schematic for the 280zxt ECU. I met a gentleman that will modify one for me but, needs the schematic. He claims he can tweak it for me if I give him another zxt ecu for himself. Thanx
  7. I have been reading this post and have a few questions??????. I am in the process of porting my p90. While performing the task, I was confronted by my 72 year old neighbor who claims to have modified engines in the 1954. He overlooked my p90, and advised me to have a Custom head gasket made to fully have the shape of the peanut shape chamber due to the fact that, the original gasket only covers the round area of the chamber and leaves a gap in the peanut shape area. Therefore this causes gases to remain in the peanut shape area, and this results in burned and unburned gases in the gap area. According to Him it also causes detonation, and loss of power due to the shock waves of burned and unburned gases in the gap area as used with the original gasket. PLEASE ADVISE ON THIS ONE I AM LOST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
