I just checked my slave cylinder every time I touch the black ruber part on it it squirts out fluid a leaks so I believe this may be the problem. It looks simple to replace just remove the 2 bolts holding it on. Is there a way to bleed the line without having the tool?

It wasnt empty fluid level was just kind of low I will check to see if the slave cylinder of ruber hose is leaking as soon as I return home

I checked the clutch master cylinder reservoir and It was very low. I added fluid but it still won't shift into gear while car is on:(

I resently purchased the car about a week ago it was driving great and shifting smooth I drove the car eariler yesterday everything was fine that night I went for a late night cruise as I was leaving my house as I was trying to shift into the gears it felt really notchy and hard to get into gears until I came to a complete stop in neutral with clutch all the way down to the floor wouldn't go into any gears. So I had to turn the car off shift into 1st gear and start car in gear to make it back home

My 77 280z manuel trans will shift into all gears when car is off but when car is on and in neutral won't go into any of the gears

hate to do this but it looks like my z will be going up for sale

I'm about to pick up a 03 5.3l motor. Will I need ls1 accessory drive also

Lol one of the first things to go will be the zx steering wheel I will be picking up a low millage 5.3l with 4l60e trans and ecu next week. The guy I bought the car from said his sister was driving 280z and motor over heated had it towed home never messed with it. How much should I sell the 280z motor and 5 speed trans for. Also does anyone have any experience with the 4l60e trans my combo will be cam intake headers with 100 shot will the trans hold ?

Thanks alot for the comments and imput guys. I got the oppertunity to tinker with it today started removing the front and back bumpers. Its amazing how heavy these things are, great weight reduction lol

Hello i am new to the forum. I resently purchased a 1976 datsun 280z with some body rust but frame rails and floor pan were solid. This will be a budget build I will be puting a 5.3l in it but havent decided if i would like to go turbo or nitrous. Any imput is greatly appriciated.
