No the back is not open like the sides. but I am sure you could cut it open.. not sure about the structure of it then though.

Yeah its Ivans car. He got ahold of these a long time ago.. Steve( quicker 240) also has them. Ivan had it molded into the hood. I blieve they were some factory option on the 240Z if I am not mistaken.

Ok cool thanks. I have some spacers on them right now but they dont go all the way down the wires. I am going to get some more and finish it up.. thanks for the advice!!..

Hmm.. I really havent noticed any difference when driving around tonight as far as destortion or anything.I have seen wires run like this before.The invoice just says custom-8. So you guys think I will get some performance degredation with them run like this? I guess I can try and turn the boots down so the wires dont touch eather other near the spark plugs.

Well I got new plug wires finally. I have had the same wires since I did the motor swap 3 1/2 years ago. I went with magnecor and are very happy. I gave them custom lengths so I could route them infront of the valve cover instead of going over the top. Here are a couple of pics.. Here is a pic of what it used to look like.

And wow what a difference. Let me start off by saying when I first did my motor swap, I took it to the local muffler shop and had them put on a "temperary 2.5 crush bent exhaust". heh.. 3 years later I am just now replacing it hehe. I did replace the stock DP with the Scottie GNZ DP and that made a rather large difference. I bought 3" stainless mandrel bends and a straight from Ebay. I took my piping up to the local good muffler shop. he cut the old off and what I found was CRAZY.. I wish I would have taken pics. 2.5" crush bent is small enough but at the muffler, the previous muffler place necked down the 3" inlet with 3 different pipes. I guess he buggered it up or something cause it was like barely 2" if even 2" going into the muffler. I cannot believe I ran a 13.0 on that heh. Well All is good now and boy can I tell a difference. Boost hits harder and pulls harder all the way to 6K. 12's here I come... Here are some pics.. Please excuse the dirty undercarriage and muffler. heh.
