So if it is too far advanced it will run rich? I thought that would lean it out? or at least use the unused feul?

Hey guys.. I have a 77 3.0 ltr stroker.with 8.2.1 compression. It has the stock electronics and no O2. Well I went out for a kinda High speed run on a empty connecter we have in town. Well. I found that my Z runs super rich under WOT.. I am not really sure why. At the end of the connector there is a light and sitting at the light. I would give it alittle rev and nothing but fuel smoke was comming out of the exhaust.. after a couple of moments of driving normal everything was fine and no fuel smoke. I guess a MSD would not hurt. I am turbocharging this car pretty soon ... but just kinda wondered why it would do this.Thanks.!!

I just picked up a pathfinder one from a junkyard. I had it tested and it put out 115amp . I think it is like the later maximas. It was a 4x4. I am going to be installing it soon. I am sure I will have to swop pullys and maybe shim it a bit. Good luck.

Hey guys.. I have a starion intercooler and I hear they are bad about pressure drop. What if I put bigger inlet and outlets on it? What about the buick GN intercoolers? what about the smaller NPR intercoolers. Are these hard to plum? Just trying to get some sugestions for when I will be turboing my 77 stroker.. Thanks..!!!! Yeah I kinda agree. It seemed alittle bit.... Well way to much for what is used. I heard some testomonials of like neons and hondas that were using them.. But I wanted to see if anyone with some real power was using them.. I autoX and do alittle bit of the straight line stuff. I would like to find a 3.7 LSD but they are very hard to find cheap.. Hey guys, I have been looking at these. I found a site that has them for like 360. That seems alittle more then I have heard them go for. Has anyone used them in Z cars? Do they work? Looks like it would. Thanks..

Thanks guys.. I might go with the 280zx rear brakes first. cause I can do it for cheaper. I got a set of rear calipers free and I have a line on the maxima brakets. I will prolly be going with the modern motorsports brackets when I get the money up..Thanks agian!!

I hear something about using 240sx brackets for the rear disk conversion? I was thinking about doing the rear disk on my 77280Z. should I just use the maxima brackets or is there a better way to set everything up? THanks!!

All I can say is WOW.!!!

I have had my Z up to 140. This is on a long straight that no one ever goes on. I had a buddy pace in in his car. It was a newer prelude with bolt ones. Both of us were topped out..I have a 83 280zx with 5spd and 3.90 rear. Ram air striaght through exhaust suspension techs springs and tokico struts.It was to my suprise really stable at the speed.
