Front bumper has to go!
-
Wow, I didnt know that I was 'fairly wealthly'!
-
I've seen it done on a CRX before. Looked OK.
-
I live just a little over an hour north of Pittsburgh
-
Looked for quite awhile for my '79, only option I found was a re-cover for about $800.
-
Street or off-road?
-
Really a good choice if you have your own gas well !!!

There is a stroker version of the 4.0L motor too (makes a 4.6L). 260Hp @5200 rpm - 295 ft-lbs @ 4000 rpm. Its a bit pricey. Info on quadratec.com website. Looked at it for a '97 Wrangler.
May want to check out Chevy's inline 5 cyl from the Colorado/Canyon line (H3 also). I've seen some interest for Toyota truck swap (getting rid of the 3.0L V6). Like 240 Hp and lighter weight than the 3.0L, I believe they are an all aluminium motor.

I dont recall dimensions but the 455 is bigger than the sbc. I put a '70 455 in my old '75 Nova and it filled up the engine bay more than the sbc did.

I dont think those are same as mine (the Hayashi's are alot nicer).
hese have the Itall Racing cast into one of the spokes - If I can find my digital camera, I'll snap another pic. Thanks for the link, I'll keep an eye on it.

Lookin' good!!

I'd like to find 3 more of them. When I sold the Fairlady, I was supposed to get my wheels back (but never did - yet). I have the 5th one that was the spare.
-
Here is a pic of the one I have. Its a 14"x6.5". Would like to find others like this.
-
Anyone familiar with "Itall Racing" wheels ?
-
Yeah, be sure which you have... the Fairlady Z was the L20A powered version, the Fairlady Z Turbo was L20ET powered, and the Fairlady 280 Z was the L28 powered "33 Plated" car in the JDM. Each will have different badging, for nothing other than to denote engine size. The Japan Market has always had a "Fairlady Z" and it has always been a 2Liter Tax-Class vehicle.
FYI, My car was the L28 powered version.

Posted what I found in my photo album (its in the member galleries section - cant get pics to post in forum). Sorry but I dont have any better ones with the emblems. Most of the pics were so taken to show me where everything went for reassembly-but like a dummy I sold it before it was done - greed over common sense.
-
Let me look thru my old pic's of my '79 Fairlady to see if I have any that show the emblems (it was a stock JDM import 2+2) like a real dummy - I sold it. If I recall there was a "fairlady 280Z" one on the rear hatch, cant recall the fenders for sure but I think they were just "Fairlady" script. I have a fairlady console insert badge if your interested (I think its still here).
Give me a day or so to find my stuff. Couple pics of it in my album.

Love the car!
Dude needs to learn to shift.

Mitsu parts are expensive, check out what you'll need first.

Makes me glad to live where these is no smog inspections !!
-
I want to build a hemi-prius - bet you can hear that !

Bought a Hagstrom Swede in 1975 and have loved it since then (owned Fenders and Gibsons too). They are re-making them now - supposed to be good quality for the money (I havent looked at them yet but my boy has and says they're pretty nice).
How much trouble has your Z/ZX gotten you into?

Most of the problem was with the wife when I brought it home unannounced and put it in the driveway behind her van. She thought we had guests.
