  1. Would any of these parts be interchangeable with what I posted in the first post? These brackets are cheaper, for example. http://www.silverminemotors.com/Rear-Stage-4-Kit-Brackets-Rear-Stage-4-Kit-Brackets.htm These discs are more along the lines of what I'm looking for as they're drilled and slotted. http://www.silverminemotors.com/Rear-Stage-4-Kit-Rotor-Rear-Stage-4-Kit-Rotor.htm And then there are these calipers, but they're $150 each. What care are these from? If I could pick up a set somewhere else for less money, that'd be good. I'm trying to get some good brakes, but without spending $800. I'm not pushing ridiculous power or anything, I just want to be able to stop on a dime and have good brakes for autocross days. http://www.silverminemotors.com/Rear-Stage-4-Kit-Caliper-Rear-Stage-4-Kit-Caliper.htm Edit: It seems that the calipers are 2006 Mustang GT calipers. Could somebody confirm this?
  2. I'd just like to run my setup by some of the more knowledgeable guys in this section before I actually buy anything, just in case I made a mistake. What I've got in mind is doing 1985-1986 Maxima rear calipers, and MSA brackets, but what discs should I use? I'd like something slotted/drilled. I'm basically trying to mimic this set from zcarparts. http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/PBC12/24-5583 Here are the calipers I found. http://www.ebay.com/itm/AUTOCOM-PSC-Rebuilt-Unloaded-Brake-Caliper-REAR-LEFT-22-00526L-Nissan-Maxima-/251138354745?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Year%3A1985%7CModel%3AMaxima&hash=item3a79032e39&vxp=mtr http://www.ebay.com/itm/AUTOCOM-PSC-Rebuilt-Unloaded-Brake-Caliper-REAR-RIGHT-22-00526R-Nissan-Maxima-/251138354819?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Year%3A1985%7CModel%3AMaxima&hash=item3a79032e83&vxp=mtr Here are the brackets. http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/PBC12/24-5581 What discs should I use? Thanks a lot to anyone who helps. Edit: 82-83 280ZX rotors? http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/24-5035 Are there any options for something slotted/drilled?
  3. Really? I thought the strut tower itself wasn't very good because its not directly behind the driver. I know the strut tower and the strut tower bar aren't the best choices, but its only a temporary thing until my roll cage is done. I'll keep looking, but I haven't seen that thread yet (I've already done a lot of googling on this).
  4. Got my hands on a harness, now I just need a rear strut tower bar. Do you guys know if there's any difference between the $200 Cusco bar and the $110 MSA bar from zcarparts.com?
  5. Maybe the same color, but not this car, I bought it from a guy in California.
  6. Thanks. Update: I just installed the shifter from my 2000 Mustang GT that was wrecked when someone t-boned me. Its not the classiest piece for a 240Z, but the chrome matches the rest of my car pretty well and the memory of my beloved Mustang lives on, so I think I'll be keeping it. Also, being a pistol grip, it shifts so much nicer than the regular shift knob I had on it before. Here's a photo. Edit: Here's another set of photos taken today, after installing the shifter.
  7. Here's my 1973 240Z. Its only missing a couple minor things. Its only got 20k original miles and its real clean all around. No rust, even under the car. Specs: Race cam - 4,000 RPM to 8,500 RPM powerband 5 speed transmission L24 engine Electronic ignition 16 inch Centerline Corona wheels R180 rear differential Coilovers Anti-roll bars Corbeau seats Four barrel Holley carb Intake manifold for the carb Long tube headers, 6-1 Flowmaster exhaust Mishimoto radiator Stant radiator cap Interior fully redone Blacked out taillights To do list: Fuel gauge stuck on empty. Tachometer doesn't work. Reapply glue to the hatch weatherstripping. Repaint some sections of the underbody black to protect from rust. Oil change. Rear disc conversion. Coolant flush. Strut tower bar install. Four point harness install. Six point cage install. Short throw shifter install or replace shift boot. Done: Love my car. Ignition kill switch. Fix burnt out parking light/wiper/blinker connector. Short video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mU3s043_Yow Photos:
  8. I put my drink in my cupholder. However, no drinks allowed in my car unless its a sealed water bottle.
  9. Thanks, but I decided that I'll be going with a harness instead.
  10. Hey guys. I'm looking for an original driver's side seatbelt for my 1973 240Z. PM me and let me know how much you're asking and what condition the belt is in. Thanks a lot. -Leo
  11. The wheels came with the car, and I don't like them very much. I'd like to know what they're called so I can do some research and see what they're worth so I can sell them and get something else. Any help? Thanks in advance.
