    I just replaced the fuel filter and it started and doesn't stall right away when given gas but still does die. I've checked for vacuum leaks but couldn't find any. It looks like its getting spark. I don't have anybody to help me so I don't really know for sure

    I was going down the freeway at about 70mph when my car suddenly started stalling when I would press the gas pedal. It will start back up after it dies but it will die again if I press the gas pedal. Can anyone help me? I had to leave it on the side of the road since I was on my way to work.

    Haven't driven my z in about a week. Drove it today and when i went to turn the key it was really hard to turn and it felt like i was about to break the key but it finally turned on but wouldn't go back into the on position so the starter was still turning. Any suggestions on what can fix this?

    I fixed the vacuum leaks car starts up right away now. Going to be getting a valve adjustment tomorrow morning. Thanks for the help guys!

    Ive got a 78 280z. What can I do to help my car start faster in cold weather? Right now its getting to about 15-20 degrees and it'll take almost 5 minutes of cranking to get it to start. Any suggestions on what I can do?

    It would pop randomly when I would accelerate from a complete stop and it just got worse then the idle dropped, I dont know what's causing it to lean out if that's what it is.

    Recently my 78 280z's idle has dropped from its usual 900-1000 to 500-600. I heard a whistling sound from some cracked hoses on the top of the intake and replaced those and it didn't effect anything. When I give it throttle it pops then the oil pressure goes up to about normal operating pressure then it runs normally for a while. That is until I shut it off and restart it but it still pops a lot more. What can cause this?

    Anyone see the Youtube video on the Petrolicious channel on Dave Scholz 240? I'm curious as to what exhaust he's running. It looks straight piped to me, but it never showed under the car and I couldn't find any info on it online. Anybody know anything about it? Id love to hear it.

    Replaced my dim headlights and the driver side one is still really dim but the passenger side one is normal. Any ideas whats causing it to be dim? Any help is appreciated!

    Thanks guys, the previous owner kinda jacked it up and took out a bunch of stuff so I'm slowly trying to piece it back together.

    So my heater doesn't work and its getting to be pretty cold up in Washington so I kinda need it. When I turn it on I can hear air blowing but it doesn't come through any vents and it isn't warm. Its not cold either. I'm not sure what to look for when trying to fix it. Can anyone help? Much appreciated!

    I have a stock 78 280z and have been searching and couldn't find the information I needed. I found a set of used SU's off of a early 240 on craigslist and have been wanting to carb my 280 since I bought it. I was just wondering if it was a simple bolt on or what all is needed to convert it? If anyone could give me some info that'd be great, thanks in advance!

    Will a stock 240z steering wheel bolt onto my 78 280z? I'm not sure what year it is but it's the "wood" steering wheel. Any help is appreciated!

    I don't like the shoulder strap on my seatbelts, they are rough and uncomfortable. I'd like to know if anyone has put lap belts in their 280's? Any info is appreciated!

    So then how do I avoid getting heat soak without any of the fan shrouds?

    It didn't have a fan shroud when I bought the car. I have been looking for one but no luck yet. Yes, soon I'll buy a new aluminum radiator! Haha

    It does not have any heat shields. I didn't know there was one for the fuel rail

    At first it didn't start at all, then after a little while it started but did run really rough, idling around 4-500rpms so I shut it off. Thank I'll search that right now

    Could my thermostat have gone bad already?
