  1. Went back to the shop today and I spent few hours working on my downpipe. One day when I really need someone to give me hand with fitting and marking piping I get "stuck" alone well at least it was nice to have whole shop to myself. Since whole shop was full of cars I was not able to use any of the lifts so I had to use good ol jackstands method. This is how the day started. I just cant get enough of this view! Then I stared working on the downpipe Even though it looks like there is alot of space putting 4" pipe is not really that much fun I am not happy with end result so I am getting rid of the last 90deg bend. Then I am going to take about two inches of that 45deg bend and that is where v-band flange will be installed to seperate downpipe from the exhaust. There is just not enough space to tuck in 4" exhaust with v-band clamp under the car. Thats about it for this weekend I should be able to do some more work on it fallowing week during my lunch hour.
  2. On with the good stuff Thats where the day ended. I might go by the shop tomorow and finish the downpipe and maybe even start on the intercooler piping.
  3. Here are some pictures of the engine bay progress Header bolted up all the way for the first time Kinda hard to see but clearance between fenderwell and #1 runner is much better now Intake manifold with tb spacer welded (will get upclose picture of it) and q45 tb Starting on exhaust with v-band discharge flange got machined down so that 4" pipe would slide over it for better fit Nice equipment makes these jobs so much easier : ) ...and no I was not cutting and holding camera at the same time lol
  4. What do you know well I got done with my friends Evo8 ahead of the schedule so I ended up bringing the Z to the work so we can have some extra space and more equipment to use : ). Day could have not turned out any better we had whole 17000sq between three of us. My buddy Chris ended up finishing the cage and I was working on mounting everything on in engine bay and starting the 4" exhaust. This is how the day started from small garage into bigger one! lol This is in the middle of our fabrication shop but today since no one was there we used it for parking space Chris finalizing the cage work Gusset for extra support Chris finishing strut plate
