Can someone explain to me im a rookie at the z`s i have owned and work on only solid axles. What does weld up the diff mean? And can someone list the strength of 180 200 and 230 rear ends and what are half shafts?

Can someone tell me what car the r200 rear end is from, and how hard is it to convert a 180 to a 200? also are there any stronger datsun rear ends?

Im buying a 73 240 and a 9 inch laying around can someone tell me how to go about putting in a 4 link suspension i.e conversion kits or parts i can convert myself. I plan on dropping a 355 in it with 400 hp. And also were the z`s power steering?

550 hp is obtainable out of a 350, Hp is cheap its the realiability that is expensive. Any backyard boy can put a 13:1 comp cast piston cast crank that will put out 500 hp the question is how long will it last with cheap componets hp can be very deadly to the engine life. My friend built a 350 cast everything with camel hump heads he put out 492 to the fly wheel. It cost him 1500 to build> He ran it for 1 week and blew the crank. Make sure those parts a forged.
