I have an 81 and im not sure if an 82 or 83 ecu would work. Not sure but are 280zx ecu's interchangable??

hey guys, so yeah.. my car had this problem that was intermitten.. it would start and idle for about a second then dies. Had it diagnosed and all. when it dies, i would just give it a slight knock or a light kick to the ecu and it would start right up.. so i guess its shorted. My zx is an 81 non turbo and i just need someone to tell me what this is. On my ecu it has the numbers and letters A11-621 601, 1414 L28 i saw an ecu on ebay with the numbers A11-620 600, 1330 L28 i would like to get my intermitten problem fixed immediately and wasnt sure if i had to get another ecu with the exact numbers or can i just use any nonturbo ecu for 81's?? Im still a highschool student trying to learn, so please excuse my lack of knowledge about these cars.

thanks.. i NOW have a job and have already done the tune up and all.. i still ened to check timing though.. unfurtunately my family is not doing that well and i have to do the unthinkable.. sell my s130.. hopefully i can get one later as good as the one i have now.. thanks for all the help guys, ill check back on hybridz whenever i can and when i get my new ride i will post pics.. -peter

yeah.. i have tried looking for a job.. but where I live its hard finding a job, without getting hooked up and all.. most of the teens here were hooked up by an older brother or sister

Hey guys I have a 81' zx nonturbo. I was wondering how much horsepower it has.. and also what could i do to get more power in my zx? im only 17 and dont have much money.. only about 100 bucks..

I just recently joined HybridZ forums just today.. Im 17 and I just got my zx. It was purchased for 1 grand. The car had 90k miles on it. I've only drove the car about 6 times in the past 2 months since it was purchased. . Everything is good, it had a bad radiator overflow tank.. and I got that replaced.. I have no battery strap and the dash is also cracked.
