These are some great stories guys! I think there is something different about us Z owners that other car owners dont have. We just have a sort of special bond with these cars that I havnt seen in any other car ive owned or seen anyone own. Everyday when I get in my Z I fall in love with it all over again.

I thought it would be kinda cool to hear everyones story on why they bought a Z and what got you interested in them.
For me it was when I was in school as a kid I used to go to the mall after school with my friends and play Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune. I saw the Devil Z and I instantly fell in love with the car because of its style and pure driving experiance. After that i had to own one and now i have two

Im going to be painting mine flat green in a month or two so i'll post some pics when its done.

Alright, I might go 15's just because the tires are cheaper and if I want bigger wheels I can order my actual set of 505s in a different size.

Also is there a big difference between a 45 and 50 sidewall? The 45s are pretty expensive.

Yeah thats what I was thinkin of doing, Probably 16x9's or 15x9's if i can find them. I should be ordering my coilovers at the end of next month if nothing comes up and then I'll order the wheels and tires the month after.

Yeah Im probably not going to put the flares on till next summer when i get it fully repainted and gutted. I just need something for now that is better than stock. Im looking at the XXR 532's since they are cheap and look similar to the HRE 505's which I think look awesome.

So Ive been looking around and Im going to run 16x8's +0. Now since im not putting the flares on just yet will these fit with 225/45/16's on coilovers? or will I have to roll the fenders.

ComicArtist im in love with your car its been my wallpaper on my computer before i even knew it was your car lol. How hard is it to find a set of HRE 505s in 15" or 16"? I havnt been able to find any... and I want them.

Im also interested in this topic because once i swap in my L28ET I would like a very clean engine bay. In the picture i see that the car is running coil packs, is this a hard mod to do? It looks super clean.

I love 510 wagons, there was a guy in VA where i used to live that used one in auto-x. His car was pretty beast. I cant wait to see it lowered!

So many nice Blues!!! This is getting hard to decide because now it seems its between the Ford blue, GTR Blue, Z06 Blue, and the STi Blue. To many choices! Im terrible at decision making lol.

What part are you stuck on? Im on the last season and im halfway done with it. I think its called the Legends series.

Yeah I saw that you joined! Ive only really been doing the world tour but im gonna start drifting again. I did it alot in FM3, we'll have to do some drifting together online!

Well im a good Hour and a half from you so thats probably why you never see it
And yeah there arent many on the road around here but i have my 240 and my dad has my old 280 so thats two in danvers lol. But yeah I get alot of looks. Back on topic though it is a good deal for what you get its just not on top of my priority list. Suspension first then wheels and tires then motor swap and then all the extra goodies haha. -
Damn those kits are expensive lol i'll probably upgrade to discs in the back and then i'll get the big brake kit later on.

Not sure yet, I was going to just convert the back to disc and run 4 piston calipers all around but now i might get big brakes now that you mention it. Your a bad influence lol.

Yeah im gonna upgrade my brakes too, I think the 16s will be fine and i do like the look of a slammed Z so im sure every once in a while i'll drop the coilovers all the way and i think the 16s will fit alot better.

Oh ok that makes more sense, and now that im looking at it i might just run 16x8s with 245s. I dont think i like the look of the 17s.

Ok so when you say put the mr2 rears in the front are you saying order illuminas for an mr2? or are you talking about the strut tubes.

Wow Tony D thats crazy that you passed up a Z 432!! I would kill for one of those! Its crazy to think back on stuff that we passed up because we didnt know any better
