Right, I was wondering about this part of your post:

Upon rereading, I'm realizing that you were saying you could get only the spline and wheel stud portion new. I thought you meant you could press the bearing out of the bearing mount and use it in the old housing.

It's a hub/bearing assembly for an FX45 (32 Spline and confirmed), not the FX35 (29 Spline from what I'm reading in my research),but there is an issue with this modern hub and bearing. I have a set that I broke down with plans of pressing the hub into a set of Z32TT/R32 rear bearings. The hub from the FX45 is beefier than the Skyline or Z32TT hubs by 5mm. The FX hub bearing ID measures 50mm and the Z32TT/R32 bearing ID measures 45mm (I corrected the mistake in my previous post). I had a brain fart from a distraction in the shop when I was pressing the FX45 bearing apart from the hub. I ended up separating both of them before I finished taking all of the measurements and comparing the overall dimensions to the Z32 hub/bearing assembly.

    My thoughts:
I can machine the FX45 50mm hubs down and press them into the Z32TT/R32 hub bearings, it's very little work being that it's only spinning 2 hubs on the lathe, but that still leaves me using the more expensive and increasingly hard to find correct Z32TT bearings. Should I have a bearing failure in the future, the cost of one bearing will be more costly and troublesome to find. I'm thinking about ordering another set of aftermarket FX45 hub/bearing assemblies so I can finish my measurements. The mounting bolt location was the most obvious difference, everything else looked spot on at a glance when both types of hub/bearing assemblies were on the bench, but the measurements will confirm everything. I'm leaning heavily towards modding a spare set of spindles for the FX mounting bolt pattern, because the cost of replacement parts is cheaper, easy to find and I do like the idea of a beefier hub/bearing assembly.

  2. Socorob I too am located on the Northshore. ;) I just recovered my old account.
I am also having problems finding the larger bore rear hub bearings. All of the aftermarket ones on Ebay Amazon and the parts houses locally in the Slidell, Abita and Covington area are wrong. They're all for the smaller hub. I'm at the point of ordering Skyline bearings from the middle east. They are OE factory Nissan parts at the best price I've been able to find at right under $300 shipped air freight.
The smaller bearing ID is 43mm.
The larger bearing ID is 45mm. (Correction from 50mm to 45mm. I got two 32 spline hubs mixed up)
The larger hub is still in production in the aftermarket and sold stateside. There is at least one recently produced Nissan vehicle that uses the 32 spline count larger hub, but the bearing has the later mounting bolt pattern. They are cheap though. You can get a set of rear hubs with the wrong bolt pattern bearings for $100 off of Ebay, press the bearings off and you have a brand new set of the larger hubs.

As far as the locating pin in the pictures. Some rear Ebrake setups don't use that style of bearing with the platform. If you need that style and all you can find is bearings with the locating pin on say only the right side. You can drill and locate the pin to the other side for one of your bearings. They're located opposite of each other for the side for the car it's being mounted on. A mirrored set. I hope I'm making sense. LOL

  3. sanch-HOE I'm here and for some reason I turn on notices and I still get no email alerts. I will be happy to supply another rail setup for your project.

You and anyone else can email me direct at pallnet@hotmail.com

  4. UPDATE:
I'm still going strong. Although I don't get much time to post but as always I'm answering emails and filling orders as they come in. Remember I do ship worldwide.
    Email me for details.
    Thanks

  5. I'm sorry everyone. I know I haven't been on hybridZ very much lately. Yes I'm still around and I'm still making fuel rails and TB spacer kits. None of that has changed,
The part that has changed is Facebook has become the place to be because of all the groups. I'm on many of the Z groups and I can easily be reached through there or you can email me if you need my services.
Send me a PM on here or email if you want my name to add me to your friends list on Facebook.

  6. I agree. Post up a few more pics. Especially of how the fuel hoses and FPR are routed on the passenger side of the engine. It could be an issue in the installation or possibly a fuel supply issue. Shooting from the hip, I will ask you a off the wall question... Did you install your FPR in the return line?

    Thanks

  7. LanceVance:   Most of what I was being offered was banged up and/or rusted. Not to mention a little high on the price for the condition. No hard feeling though, I found one in the bunch.

I will get a few pics for you sometime today or tomorrow and post them up. Removing the wings without damage will not be easy. I don't see why you can't just make and attach wings to a Z pan. I'm not 100% sure that the one I got will end up on the project but I will be keeping it. I may just remake a regular front sump that I already have.

I want to be able to hold as much oil as possible. I'm sure you and I are on the same page with that way of thinking.

    Thanks

  8. I may be interested in a second as well. Post some pics and I really prefer to keep negotiations in private through emails, I'm shy :). I know this is not a part that a lot of people will keep here in the states because Datsun/Nissan gave us very few front sump options. I figure I would see if I can get them here before looking overseas.

    Thanks

  9. madkaw,

This sounds like something we can work on. Which direction are you going in for your fuel rail needs? Barbed, 11mm or 14mm?

Any pics of the engine? You can email them to me if you don't want to post them on here.

Any damage to the pan or pickup or bad rust? I want a pan and pickup that I'm not going to have to do any welding to reshaping.

  10. As the title states, I'm watching for one of these for my next build.

If you're in the market for something I make then that's even better. I'm not against a little negotiation. ;)

Let me know what you have laying around. Post a pic if possible. As a reminder this is a sump with wings.

    Thanks

  11. UPDATE:

Busy as always but never too busy to answer emails. I'm still here working my day job and making the fuel rails in the evenings and weekends for your beautiful Z projects. Let me know if I can help.
    Thanks
