  1. Just curious as to what dwell settings worked well for you, I am also using a stock distributor and having a similar problem under boost.
  2. Ok no problem here is a zip file with my msq and logger files. CurrentTune.zip
  3. Here's what I get using the composite logger.
  4. I've confirmed that the wiring to my dizzy is correct and I am getting a signal from it, but could I have a bad dizzy that's giving an incorrect or intermittent signal that's causing the sync errors?
  5. Yes I do and when the RPM switch on the stim is set to NPN the ecu is synced and operates perfectly, however with the switch on PNP I get nothing at all.
  6. '82 turbo dizzy MSII controlling fuel and spark (3.2.1 release firmware) Trying to get my car started on MSII, it will fire and run for about 2 seconds then dies. But I have not gotten TunerStudio to sync with ecu at all. I haven't been able to find anyone's ignition settings for the latest release of firmware (3.2.1) but I here is what I have it set as now. Spark mode: Basic trigger Trigger Angle/Offset: 60 Skip pulses: 3 Ignition Input Capture: Rising Edge Spark Output: Going High (Inverted) Number of coils: Single Spark A output pin: JS10 I'm guessing that because the ecu is not synced it is cutting spark or fuel after just a couple of seconds, any help would be greatly appreciated.
  7. PM sent regarding fuel rail order. Thanks
  8. Ok thanks Xnke thats exactly what I needed to know
  9. Anyone out there running a stock 75-76 head with stock valve seats? If so are you having any problems?
  10. No just a temporary fix until I do a turbo swap, old N47 head had a broken exhaust stud and the N42 was laying around. I'm gonna spend the money for a good coated header and since the N42 flows a little better it just makes sense to do a valve job and drop it in.
  11. Hey thanks BluDestiny it'll be easy enough to check if they are brass. If they are will it harm the head or valves to run on unleaded fuel?
  12. Ok thanks for the reply, I pulled this head several years ago off of a junk car so I cannot remember the year model. Are there any casting numbers or anything that would tell me if it is a '76?
  13. Hey guys, I've got a stock N42 head that I'm gonna put on my 78 280z. Some people have told me that the N42 heads do not have hardened valve seats because they were designed to be run on leaded fuel. Its a pretty expensive machining job to have new ones pressed in and every machine shop I've talked to says they already have hardened seats, but some guys in my local club say they do not. I've been searching on here and other forums and talking to other people and I'm getting different answers. Thanks for the help
  14. Does anyone have a spare 280z rear stub axle laying around? I desperately need one please pm me if you have one. thanks
