  1. Although I am not proud of the ride height (TEIN coil overs will be on order this week)..

Here are my 15x8 +5 offset, Rota RKR wheels in Royal Silver. 205/50/R15 Kuhmo tires. Stock suspension. The front valence is the ghetto diamond lock edging with landscape edging riveted to it. I got bored.

When I finish my Z.. I am totally going with the larger version of these wheels. Yum!

  2. You can't even share the link to facebook?! I found hundreds of results for "Kevin Kong" on facebook.

Look its pretty straight forward. Find the picture you want to share. Move the mouse arrow over the picture. Click the Right button on the mouse. Click "copy image location" if on Firefox. If you are on internet explorer, click "properties" and simply copy the "address (url)". If you don't know how to copy and paste I am quite worried.

On this forum, click reply, right click on the text section and select paste. At least we can click on the link. if you want to get technical, do the following :

[i m g] insert link here [ / i m g ] Simply remove the spaces so its one long continuous sentence and click post.

  3. Derek,

Thanks for calling Bill! Reaction Research offers 280YZ, the 940Z and the Subtle Z set of fenders. Only difference is the 280YZ is 1.5" larger on each corner.

Just looking at the 280YZ kit it seems it would be difficult to blend a traditional valence and bumpers, the Subtle Z and 940Z seem a bit easier. But.. I have to ask the right questions =)

I just sent John at Reaction Research a e-mail.

  4. I just bent all new lines for my 72 240z and it was a suck job. I bought stock line in a spool from Advance Auto, bent it and flared it. It was a pain. Had to do several lines twice because of bad flares. Had to make several lines twice because of a pinched bend. Had to several lines twice because I made a good flare only to learn that I forgot to put the line nut on first. If you are trying to re-use the stock mounting looms to hold the lines to the chassis, and you have a source for pre-made lines that follow original specs: I would pay a thousand dollars to avoid doing that job again. My hands still hurt from that job. But, maybe you have a rotisserie-I did it on my back and it sucked. I am a surgeon so I'm decent with my hands, and I have a $500 a month car work budget-I'd buy them if they cost even $2000.

Well that sums it up. I'm not doing it myself. I didn't follow the advice of others on this forum regarding sandblasting my own car and I severely regret it. BIG mistake. I will listen to others who have been through the same experience.

Thanks for the update on the thread!!

  5. Where is the return from the turbo dumping into the coolant system?

My issue.. was the return would flow at the thermostat.. where the temp sensor was. The sensor got a false reading and picked up the HOT coolant that passed the turbo. My readings were off from the actual engine coolant temperature.

I was running Megasquirt and had my coolant sensor separate from the coolant gauge sensor. That's how i discovered the variance.
