  1. I just looked at the connector for the new harness I got from ebay (R34 RB26)and it has twice as many pin locations and three rows. So now I am really confused to what is actually the real harness.
  2. I have been running down some dead ends with this R34 RB26 harness problem. I found a R34 harness on ebay, but it is different, with white and gray ECU connector. Anyhow I am supplying photos of the harness I have and maybe someone will know what it is. It could be the JDM Canada sent me a bad apple and I have to sort it all out.
  3. Thanks, I thought the 24U was for N1 blocks.
  4. Does anyone know the RB26DETT engine block numbers for the R32, R33 and R34. I thought all of them were 05U. Someone indicated to me that the R34 is 24U. Is this correct?
  5. After all this time, the guy who said he could get the R34 RB26 harness fell through. But I found one on ebay and got it. Well it has a gray white ECU connector, whereas the one I got has a all white one. So I asked the guy from ebay what the deal was. He said I don't have a R34 RB26 engine. Someone replace the top cover with a R34 red cover, change the ignitors to R34 and the cam sensor. I don't thing this is true. He wanted the know the block number. I looked and it was 05U. He says it should be 24U, but I thought this was only for a N1 engine. So anyone know what the block number is for a R34 RB26?
  6. I got this harness problem sorted out. I took some pictures of the engine sensors with data plates on them and anything else I can find and sent it to Nissan Motorsports. They found the harness for this engine. Next is to get it and hope it really is the same, please!!!
  7. Any suggestions on where to get harness or figure out what car the engine came out of. Above I provided a link to the differences between the R32, R33 and R34. The only thing I can think of is to figure out where all the wires go and splice them together.
  8. Thanks for the info, I think I will make stainless steel bushings to go in between.
  9. First, I like to thank everyone for their support. I have the 5 bolt full big brake package from Arizona Z car. The shocks stick up too high through the adjustable camber plates. I can fix this either by cutting them down (not preferred) or I can make 304 SS bushings so when it is fully tightened the shaft doesn't protrude and hit the hood. Anybody do something else? Or am I missing something? Second question: I like to use 18" 225 x 40's front and rear, stock wells. Anyone know what the offset and back space is and wheel width?
  10. Sorry, got confused where this should go. DD
  11. Sorry, here is the link. http://www.rsp.net.au/PriceLists/PriceList.aspx?model=Nissan+%2F+Datsun&car=34B

  13. Anyone know how the Rare Spares S30 Door Skins are with both fitting and quality
  14. Hi Clive, Thank you for the hook-up. I actually joined several years ago, but never kept up. I like for you to come over and see the 70Z, we can talk and I will buy you lunch. Don
  15. I have an air-dam, fiberglass for 15 years, not painted, no cracks. The one with the brake ducts and license plate spot in the middle. Sorry no photos, not used. Let me know if interested
  16. Beautiful job. I am basically doing the same thing with an RB26. I have two questions if you can help. The brake master, what year booster fits, I have the same master, not installed? The AZC coilovers, my shocks stick through too high. I could put a steel bushing below to lower them, what did you do, if anything? Thanks
  17. They can't get one anymore, I called two weeks ago NLA and decided to get the RB26 S30 set from RIPS New Zeland
  18. A chrome house that does old car will remove the dent in the bumper with a machine. I know one in NY, Husline Auto in Hempested NY 11550
  19. I'm the new guy in town and just joined. Clive, evilz, turned me on. Thank you Clive. I see alot of RB swaps these days for the S30 chassis, alot of stuff being done in CA, but not so much on the east coast. I spoke to Linh Bui in CA, did a R32 RB26 S30 swap, nice job, and he was happy someone on the east coast was doing this swap he and has been very helpful, but not for what I need now. I am in the process of doing the RB swap myself, what a job, but will be worth it just for the education. So far I purchased the RB25DET tranny last year and just got a R34 RB26 form JDM Racing in Canada. The engine came with a butchered wire harness, I should of known better, but I guess I didn't, I just wanted that engine. Anyhow, I can get one from Nissan. Nissan wants to know what car the engine came out of, v-spec, m-spec, I don't know, not returnable. Anyway to tell what harness is needed? The harness that came with the ECU has a white ECU connector. The ones I see are blue. Any ideas would be helpful. I have the engine serial number and numbers on the ECU PCB and enclosure. A good link for the R32, R33 and R34 RB26 differences is at http://tyndago.googlepages.com/rb26dett Thanks Don
  20. A speed shop in New Zeland is making a RB26 S30 oil pan and pick-up. I am sure they can do it. Rotorua Improt Pro Shop http://www.ripsltd.com/
