  1. ok ok , on my l20et the saftey bleed valve is set to 4 psi, the wastegate is set to 6psi. (stock) . Now this is a intresting problem. On Half throttle the car actually pulls better than it would on WOT . if i go full throttle, it builds boost then it just sits there venting it. im not sure if its out the safety valve or blow off vavle. i narrowed it down to not being the blow off vavle since it has a totaly diffrent sound to this sound its making. would it possibly be the saftey beed valve?. or some other possibility. ive checked for Vacume leaks and others. any insites please, this is anoying probem p.s im new to all this : / lol

  3. alright guys i got a turbo off a rb20det, and i know its a direct bolt up. and a upgrade . now my problem is. where can i tap a water feed for the turbo ?. ive been told off the Throttle body. which seems like a good idea. but where to return it ? i posted this in the L6 section but hoping for some better replys P.s i know about the dump pipes Cheers.   4. i think im going to do just a tempory job with heavy duty rubber house for the time being . untill i can get it done right. since money is always on a tight side its hard to do.

  7. humm, my dizzy looks totaly diffrent, possibly because mine is a 85, and man that Z LOOKS SWEET and yeah with the blead vavle taken out they run 6psi , so if your reading that your swee:)
  8. yeah its the injectors, did it to each one with a a screew driver to ear test and its definitly them,
  9. mine a FREAken LOUD!! with the bonnet down on my skyline i can still hear the little fellas. How loud are they meant to be?, is it something i should be worried about ?
  10. FAR OUT MAN!! 19PSI on the stock turbo!!!!1 they can only take 16 MAX which is the point of major Turbo damage!.
  11. intresting how your getting 6 psi, are you using a diffrent manafold?. with a stock l20et one it has a bleed valve set to 6 psi on it and it bleads early so they only get 4 psi
  12. sorry man, cannot help ya on the injectors and all, in new to all this myself. yeah the Diff is the same as mine didnt know they where r200's tho the no power is a strange one, probablyneeds a tune as a l20et makes its power at 5800rpm. but pussibly becasue its older itsdiffrent, turbo could also be a little on the worn side. mine is the past has had turbo problems, before i got it tho they have risen again, well i think they have, keeps howling off under boost sometimes

  14. yeah, gtta love the DR30's but the HR30's can be made just to look like the Earlyer DR's, which is my goal if nayone knows on where i can find those tail lights, PPLLEEEEASE tell me , they are a dime in a dossen those ones good luck on the laruel,
  15. fitting a l20et into a z, well ive been told its a hard job to do, something about the gearbox mounts ect and the gearbox itself. it easer to fit all the l20et stuff onto the l26 anywayz , here in nz are ya ? the diff is a R180, possibly LSD not sure tho, how do you test ? getting a l20et with gear box for 150?, i would presume that your near otaki, as. lol i was looking at that engine also. well most of his cars. just need some time to get over there (dr 30kits) improveing the l20et isnt a hard job, yes i have been told that they are hard to get power out of, currently i have a Turbo off a Rb20det to bolt on, they bolt right up apart from you need a custom dump pipe, or a stock Rb20det one. and fitting a water feed line to it : /, im not sure how to do that. a Rb20det thorttle body bolts up to the L20et, and need only minior mods for it to work , and some boring inside the intake , since its larger. intercooler. well, thats easy. ive been told that a l20et is quite happy running 10psi at the turbo (stock turbo) and will not ping [/code]

  19. there are a few R30's with the l20et in it, but compared to every other skyline,evo,gsr,vr4, you name it. there are very little the other problem is , man trying to find a l28et pheeewww sorry guys, no pics yet
  20. well sorry bud, but its a R30, aka HR30's were not the FJ serries, DR30's were, , Mine is a E-HR30, 2000GT-T ES, with the l20et , Nissans first ever turbo production car
  21. hey ya guys im new here, and well i own a R30 skyline with a lovely L20et, now ive been told the L20et isnt worth working on as in the word over here, "consitpated" engine , but i would like to hear some insites on this engine f rom some people who know what they are talking about. for the ones who dont know, the l20et makes 145hp stock i think mine could be making 165 or so , never beleive the jap specs cheers, nick
