Rayaap2 i just was going to get started with ur recommendation and before i could even get the wires ready,I noticed the wiring in the engine compartment looked to be very dirty and crispy to the touch. I also took sho-z's recommendation and it look so far that i will start with both of ur advise and clean all of the connections. Thanks again and will ya posted. Sho-Z i was curious but did ur lights all of a sudden stop working when u had a similar problem? Had a bad Tach and fixed that with a replacement. But now all of a sudden my combo light switch won't turn on the headlights nor the driving lights and the turn signals don't work.When i step on brake pedal the brake lights work and when i turn on the emergency flasher that also works. I have no idea about electrical wiring and dont know where to start. I did however replaced the combo and the turn signal switches because the combo switch was bad and the turn signal switch i just had lying around. Before i get into tracing wires and learning as i go is there any relays or something that might have just burnt out or wires that might been missed plugged ? so far all fuses are good. And it was working before the replacement of tach.Thanks in advance.

K will try that and see if it works. But for some reason I think I have the wiring hooked up wrong at the coil and resistor but again it starts and runs fine until I hook up the tach.Really confused. Thanks will let you know.

O.k so I had a Pertronics igniter put on my 240z without the dash or gauges in the car and it fired up fine a few months back but when i reinstalled the dash back in with the stock gauges hooked up i notice it wont start (no spark)but cranks. But when i unplugged the speedo wiring connectors behind the dash(where harness connects to speedo) it fires right up.Anyone running a pertronics igniter can help with wiring or problem? Its a 70 240Z and i am running a ballast resister with the pertronic with a after market coil. Thanks in advance

Have anyone done a twice pipe with an x pipe(cross-over) and have a video clip on it.I love the sound of the MSA twice pipe set up,but was wondering if an Xpipe is going to make a difference in sound(maybe more exotic).I am thinking of an exhaust system for my 70Z with a fuel cell,so I am open to lots of option.My engine is stock with a 3 into 2 header.Remember I'm looking for a great sounding exhaust for my car and if it comes with increased horse power great.Can you post your exhaust system set up with video clip and description of header or stock,tubing size,glasspack or muffler etc.Other engine set up is also welcome.Hope this can help other z decide on there next set up.Thankz

I don't have the same weatherstripping as you do on my rear hatch but I did use an aftermarket one and it also didn't fit perfectly.I would recommend you take off the weatherstripping you have on the car now and adjust the hatch to the gap and fit you want (with the weatherstrip off)and than like myself what I did was I bent the sheetmetal either up or down with the weatherstripping off and using a big plier,takes a little time and patience also decide if you want to keep everything original or you don't mind bending your sheetmetal and put back the rubberstrip and check it.Until your satisfied remove and bend the metal either way until fit perfectly.It worked for me.Goodluck

pharaohabq just a question if I seal the rear hatch vent and I seal the cabin airtight (or at least try my best) when I turn on my AC or heater where would the pressure coming in go?Any one or maybe I might have to pay for orignal parts.Still looking for the rear hatch vent tubing excluding grill.Thanks

Before I spend $80+ on a pair of rear hatch vent tubing have anyone had success on deleting the rear hatch vent tubing(mine was missing) and making anykind of plate or block off from behind the grill to block water and exhuast fumes.Also If I do make a complete block off plate of some kind will it effect my heating and air conditioning system? Any info will help thanks.

Production Nov,1969 240Z early style lift gate rear hatch vent tubing that goes on the inside of the rear lift gate,excluding the 2 exterior grill below the rear hatch window and the interior panel for the hatch(lift gate).
