one more update with the airdam on
-
yep, its basically the same thing. U can adjust the mixture but tis a rough starting point. Rememebr to wipe the body down with wax and grease remover fist, I sprayed it on with a squirt bottle then wiped off with a rag, works great, will make thing much better in the end!
Also, wear a respirator when you spray!
good luck

Still need a post 1983 ring or early r200 internals that I could attach my current teeth to (previous owner welded the spiders). I guess If I can get the ring and drive gear(I dont know what its called but the gear that turns the ring) it will work well enough till I can get an lsd.
-
75-83 had the 10mm so Ill need something 83+ or a complete set of internals for a 75-83, thanks!

Hello, looking for 3.54 gear tooth ring with the larger 12mm bolts (vs. the 10mm bolts). Located in Ontario but will pay for shipping
Thanks

Tremclad and ebay pigments paint job
-
my final and mostly perfect tremclad with peal paintjob. FIannly got the body work like I wanted and didnt tiger stripe the pearl at all. ITs got purple pearl that reflects with the sun spots but u cant see it in the pics
also, WAX AND GREASE REMOVER, its essential, things worked so much better with it, 10 bucks before would have saved me a lot of headache, use it before painting

you can get the e6k to interface with a XP computer by using dosbox, it sslighly tricky to set up but 15 mints you should be up and runnig

Why the huge cut-out in the rear? Is that a firebird spoiler? I can get one for free if it is meaning if it is you'd better splain how you put it on there!
Cut out is because that section was shot once the car was sandblasted, planned to run dual mufflers at each corner of the cutout but didnt end up doing it. Its been cleaned up a bit since till run some trip around the outside should be alright when done
Spoiler is one of the 3 peice ones minues the two outsides, its glassed into the hatch
Rims are something like 15x10 or 15x11 with a +4 Center section. 285's in the rear, font are more standard

re did the body since the pic, new paint in the spring

check to see if your getting a steady rpm reading when you crank it. double check your injection settings, correct injection to ignition ratio and such.
-
hey, they are like 15x11" in the back, and 15x8 or 9 front. Thanks, Cars getting repainted in the spring, currently blocking it for the 4th and final time (thats 4 home paint jobs!, this time im taking my time)

How is he supposed to search a picture? I know we all love to show off our witty-ness but try to be constructive?

Hey, Ill just quote step 5 on this one
Please, wear protection5. Set your psi around 40-80 and do a spray test with your gun on something other than your car. You want to set the flow low to start with, increase it till your getting coverage without runs or dripping. Make sure you have a door open, leave the garage part way open to allow air flow.note: if you decide to not listen to me and use paint thinner to thin it, you will 99% of the time get runs.
note: If you decide not to listen to me and use lacquer thinner but not wear a respirator and die, also, not my fault. Stick to the rules
Slownrusty, are you from barrie at one point? Its amazing, no snow at all yet. Last week was like 15-20 degrees C highs! I think its coming sooner or later sadly. Its actaully a st162 with part of a all-trac kit grafted on. Shes the DD

Im aiming for 300HP and Ive got dyno tuned maps from someone with the same engine build and ECU. Maybe you can do something similar, get maps that are from someone with the same build, and drive you car to the dyno. I agree, even with my huge DIY attitude, that 1000HP isnt possible (safely) without a dyno

Im running a 1jz on the stock 12 tooth trigger wheel with my Haltech system and it seems to be working fine, so I think it would all be fine. Try a second ecu, thats how i cured my 2 month no-start issue

285/45/15 the tire measures 12" across with a tape measurer, I have about an inch or two travel before the tire rubs the fender, I didn't trim the fenders in the back because the flares dont quite cover the tires, id rather hit the steel than rip the flares off for now. I havn't driven the car enough to know if there will be rubbing issues
