  1. I was getting ready to order a clutch kit today and then i thought, what if i don't have the 2+2 flywheel anymore. So on to my question, is their anyway to figure out whether i have the 2+2 or coupe clutch without pulling the tranny so i don't have a disassembled car sitting in my drive way for 1+ weeks waiting for my clutch to get in.
  2. may not sound like the problem but when i first did my motor swap, my alternator would randomly stop charging, it would do something similar to that when the voltage got too low. Something random to maybe check.
  3. Yeah, i cant believe i didn't notice it the first time i went over it. You me and my insurance company all feel the same way! Thanks for the concern.
  4. ha found the problem, it was alot more obvious then i thought it was turns out the left rear control arm bushing was completely gone. I uploaded a video of the play in the control arm.
  5. Yeah i think im gonaa just replace all the busings
  6. I don't like the sound of that! ill lift the car back up today and check everything again.
  7. I second that! pull the starter off and clean with a wire brush the suface of the tranny where the starter touches, and clean the starter where it touches the tranny. the starter doesn't have a ground wire, it grounds through the drivetrain. also make sure you have a suficent engine ground wire. hope this helped!
  8. finaly got to mess with the z today, both driver and passenger side were good as far as brakes, all my bushings seemed to be intact with no play in between anything.. so i took it for a ride again.. nothings changed but i guess i left something out, When i get back on the gas it pulls in the opposite direction. any new ideas?
  9. I have the stock 1975 280z diff as far as I know. I think its calld an r200. but I have matching wheels and tires in the rear. the first time it happened I thought I had a blowout so I pulled over in did the o'll tire kick but no flats so I got under the car and everything seemed fine. its starting to sound like sticking caliper is the culprate so I have time today to fix it.

  17. happened to me for the first time last week on the way to work ha good thing i carry tools with me!
  18. my money would be on the switch, i just had a similar problem except it was my running lights.
  19. I want those wheels so bad!! only picture i can find of my z when it was white is in my sig
  20. would it pull the rear end to one side when you let off the gas?
  21. not a stupid question, just hard to answer.. it doesn't make any new noises, and when i let off the gas as in to coast, the car feels like I'm trying to get it sideways, i even have to counter steer a little bit to keep it straight. Im leaning towards bushings, I really hope it is cause i wanted to replace them with poly ones anyways!
  22. Yeah ill try lifting the back of the car and see if theirs any resistance when i spin the wheel.
  23. today is the first time in a couple of days that i have driven my z. I noticed something extremely scary, when i let off the gas the rear end of the car pulls to the right. has anybody had a similar problem? my first guess was my bushings or my diff.
