Ah, ok. I'm going to that range, the county owned one tomorrow. Do you know if on the 100yard range you can shoot offhand, or is it restricted to only using a bench?
-
Btw, do you know what days the Coyota Point Range is open? I called them and there was a machine telling me directions, but no operating hours/days.
-
Ah sweet , they have Hungarian Silvertip ammo $50 for a tin of 250 rounds.
-
Actually... its like $22 for a box of 20 =/
I'll look into Irvington Arms today, thanks.
-
Im going to the range tomorrow, does anyone from the Bay Area know where I can buy ammunition? I can get it at Big5... but I would rather see if I can find some for less.

A lawyer can throw out a waiver really easily, just get them registered at the DMV before you sell them.

Well its not really a toy, but I still like it
1944 Mosin Nagant M44 , the stock is in ok shape but the mechanicals and barrel are like brand new. Its not refurbished either, because it doesn't have the markings on the stock, but it has the refurb dark finish. It doesnt really matter, I just bought it to shoot it . Although, I have a gorgeous original '43 M91/30 I will be picking up in less then a week, looks like new.
I took it the range yesterday after I picked it up, shoots like a dream . The recoil isn't as bad as all that, I thought it was pretty manageable and this is the first time I've ever shot a rifle.

I saw one for sale for $200 at Big-5, the stock was a little dinged up and the veneer dark but mechanically it seemed to be in good shape, and the action felt good, didnt rattle and was clean. I dont mind the worn stock, it kind of adds character to it. There was also a couple other rifles, a carbine and full length. Im not sure of the make/model because it wasn't listed, but they looked to be a Mosin Nagant, same bolt, body style and magazine, but Im sure it was a cheaper model. They both were in far better shape, cosmetically at least, they looked almost new. Im kind of leaning toward the Mauser because I've always loved the way it looks, and I had a airsoft version of it a few years back and it would be nice to have a real steel one (and its also half as much incidentally).
I know having a gun is a big responsibility, and having it locked up and safe, and gun safety. How is the price?

Just take the motor out, trust me. I did it with it in, and it was a HUGE pain in the ass.

A few pictures I snapped on my roadtrip. This was from the first day when I passed through the salt flats in Utah.

"Wrong Coast"
Currently there is a person in Ventura CA selling out of his Z-Business, and liquidating many vehicles. Though he's not returned any of my calls, so does me no good, and by July, I suspect all the 'good stuff' will be gone.
O_O where is this at?? I live in Oxnard and my dad is trying to start his Z business.

Too bad the AK is highly illegal in Cali . I believe, if you want one, it needs to have a bolted in clip where you insert a round in one at a time through a hole in the back. Its not like the Fab10 where its converted to use stripper clips.

I bought a 250 round tin, now if I can only figure out how to get that bastard open. I would rather not use powertools on it, and apparently a hammer and chisel works well... I think I'll wait until my dad gets home for some help, lest I get another screwdriver through the hand.
I accidentally broke off the tab already too...
