  1. Anyone know what the snow flake wheels usually go for ? From my understanding they are fairly rare. I have a set with center caps I will be selling, but I'm not sure how much I should ask for them. Thanks !

  3. I'm in need of a passenger side rocker panel as well as a dogleg or possibly a complete rear section. Started tackling the body damage and rust and will be needing these panels very soon. Let me know if youve got some laying around! Thanks
  4. Ill be picking up an 81 280zx turbo tomorrow. Will be keeping the turbo motor and snowflake wheels for my 260z. Will be parting the rest of the car and sending it to the junkyard by the end of next week. I know nothing about the 280zx so I'm hoping you all can tell me what is worth saving to sell on the forums or that can be used for the earlier cars? Vehicle has t-tops as well. Thanks!
  5. Looking to buy passenger side turn signal housing and front valence piece, also need a good passenger door. Also if you're parting out a vehicle and junking it I could use a rear quarter panel as well. I'm located in Florida so I prefer these to be somewhat local, but willing to pay to ship some of the smaller pieces! Let me know what you've got. Thanks

  7. Looking to purchase a passenger side strut assembly for a 240z or early 260z. My current strut tube is badly bent from a side impact so i figured it would be easiest to just replace. Located in Florida. Local pickup preferred, but will ship for right price! Thanks

  10. I was driving home from work after a 12 hour valet shift in the hot Florida sun. Fell asleep about .5 mile from home and hit a guard rail at around 70mph
  11. Thanks for the reply! Yes I'm the guy looking for a Tig welder, but only if it's a nice newer model Tig, with everything needed to get started in welding (argon tank, helmet, etc). I know what I have in the car and what I'd need to sell it for, just wondering what everyone else's opinion is to see if I'm even in the ballpark lol. If its not worth what I want/need - and yes I know I'll be taking a hit because it's wrecked - to get out of it I think I'll just tow it back home throw it on jack stands and wait till im out of college to fix it!
  12. Got a guy coming to check out my 74 Datsun 260Z that I hit a guard rail with a couple months back. Before I hit the guard rail the car ran and drove amazing. Was mostly rust free besides the area under the battery tray and some body rust, but being a Florida car it was pretty clean when it came to rust. To get back on the road the car needs a new strut, 2 wheels, a fender and some body work to get the door to close again. Frame looks straight and there was no damage to the shock towers. Car still runs great and moves under its own power though. All original 74 260z with 4speed manual trans, header, and exhaust. There's a pic of the car post accident. Any idea what I should be able to get out of it as is or by parting it out?
  13. Already began ordering parts to megasquirt my 260z. The plan was to convert the L26 to EFI while learning the ins and outs of megasquirt and then eventually swapping an L28et into the car. What I hadnt realized is that the E88 head on the L26 lacks the injector notches that are cast into the newer heads? Is there anyway around this issue? What would be the easiest or best way to solve this?

  15. I am trying to convert my early 260z over to the 280zx alternator. I have found write-ups for the 240z and the 280z but have yet to come across a definitive write-up for the 260z! I need to finish this conversion asap because I have work in the morning! If anyone could lead me in the right direction with this I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks
  16. Recently I picked up an early 260z, it runs and drives great, but lately i have been having an issue with the transmission. My problem is the transmission is hard to get into first gear and has started grinding when shifting into reverse. I drained and replaced the transmissions gear lube two days ago when I bought the car. Is this a common problem with the Z cars? And what should I be looking for to remedy this issue! Thanks
