  1. Did you keep your return line with the RX7 pump or have you blocked it?
  2. Anyone have experience with VTO wheels? I quite like their Wat copies for much less than Wats. I like those Libres! Anyone have experience with this company? I haven't had much luck in my searches, just see the link pop up from time to time... http://www.vtoperformance.com/acatalog/copy_of_16_.html
  3. I wonder what a Sonicare would do or how one of the other ultrasonic tooth brushes would do.
  4. The spacers might even be useful so you can set your preload/sag and adjust the ride height seperate from that. I am used to static sag from bikes, not sure if the same transfers to cars I am curious, I wasn't planning on cutting my towers yet for camber plates. This could be an interesting option
  5. Have they had it on the alignment rack? Shocks and bushings are good? Have they looked for service bulletins? Are you going back to the same dealer each time? Any symptoms driving that would point to anything? (tire noise, vibration, rumbling, roaring, etc) + everything Jasper said... 1 tire, all tires? how many miles on the car? mileage on the tires?
  6. Thanks, I was wondering about the fit of the bolt and spindle, and you answered that too. Proper torque and fasteners (nylock nut or locking nut) should prevent most issues. I think I'll be going this route too, sounds like a great fit. You are right, the stock pin does step down for the threads, they're M12. My main concern was the fit of the 5/8 bolt... mostly about oblonging the hole if the bolt is too loose in the hole. Your answer was really what I was looking even if my question sucked, much appreciated
  7. It sounds like it's a good fit but do you have any concerns due to fit of the bolt (any looseness)? any premature wear possibilities? I am also liking this idea
  8. Thanks for the tip, I'll definitely look into that since I'm also working on my coilovers and need to take apart the rear still. Threads on one pin are already no good
  9. Motorsport sells the spindle pin and related items http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/CTGY/SSSC01C02 http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/SSSC01C02/23-4240
  10. I was at my friend's shop tonight and took a couple impromptu pictures with my iphone. I guess my memory isn't as good as I thought. The wheels that look like Wats were not the wheels I remember having the Black Racing logo on the lip. Those weren't at the shop tonight but I have seen that. You'll notice the two wheels he has here are actually different (I didn't know initially). He told me one is actually a Watanabe. I have no reason to not believe him but the wheel also does not have the Wat stamp like mine do. I believe the hub surface of the 3rd picture (more hollowed out) is the BR wheel I wonder if you don't actually have real Wats? What are those 5 spoke wheels next to your car? Those are cool
  11. They could be Black Racing wheels. My friend has a set for his AE86 and they look very close to my Wats. The Black Racing logo is painted (or a decal) on the lip so if someone polished yours, it may have been polished off
  12. Try your local parts store and ask for the shoes and rear hardware kit if you don't need anything fancy.
  13. I normally just read and learn on HybridZ but when I built the engine for my old Camaro, I had to gap the piston rings and file some to get the minimum clearance. I don't know if that is necessary on the L series engines but it sounds like a possibility if all your rings broke with no serious problems in the past -Andy '73 240Z
