  1. For those looking for a mid price unit, I got off the phone with Stance USA today and they have developed a perch that fits Z's and their coilovers with availability in the next 8 weeks.

They also are willing to see the s13 set with 4 perches for the front but I was not quoted a price. I gave them my info and will have more info as it develops. Will be starting a separate thread as well.

Any word on the Stance perches? When I get the coilovers on my S30, I was figuring that I might as well go with some good coilovers. Stance is pretty much my #1 choice.

  2. Got a guy here in San Diego with molds that makes the kit. We had him make our kit in Carbon Fiber. We sold our extra kit already to a guy in Mizzou. If serious and you have the money I can see how much a set in fiberglass will cost you. It is an 8 piece set which includes the 4 overfenders, 3 piece rear spoiler and large front spoiler. The kit is for a G-nose car as well.

I PM'ed you awhile back, but can you get a quote for a full fiberglass kit please? Thanks

  3. Gotta agree with HS30-H here about those flares being different from each other. The flares on the black car are "original" Arita Speed flares. You can visit their website for more info about them if you can read japanese.

The flares on the black G-nose aren't REALLY Arita Speed, right? The Arita Speed kit seems to be molded fenders, whereas the black G-nose seems to be riveted on.

  4. I was trying to search the forum for an answer but could not really find a definite one, so...

How do you let your V8 breathe!? Right now its summer and my V8 Z doesn't seem to appreciate it much. Normal daily driving and waiting in traffic makes the temp raise a considerable amount.

I'm guessing that a very limited amount of air is reaching the air cleaner and I just want to see how you guys deal with it. Pictures would be nice, too! :)

  5. Thanks for you replies, guys! I'm definitely feeling good about the LS engine, but as far as dropping the engine and transmission into the car, are there any big jobs to be done? Perhaps fabrication wise?

And for you California residing guys, do you know of any shops or certain people that are capable of doing the swap? Because I definitely can't do this job myself, and I want the car to stay as my daily driver, so I need the swap do be done 100%.

  6. I have a '73 240Z with a 305 SBC and I've been playing around with the idea of replacing the old 305 with an LS1. I've been researching and looking around for info about the swap for awhile, but I just want to hear from those of you driving LS1 Z's. My question to you is: when doing the swap, did you run into any nightmares? Or anything more difficult than usual. ALSO, I would like to hear all the good things about running with the LS engine.

I already know some of you may categorize MONEY into being a nightmare, but I'm well aware of the cost that accompanies the swap and I am prepared to eat spam and bread for awhile

  7. Okay, so today I did some spirited driving in 90 degree weather. I pulled over to let the car cool down and I opened the hood only to be greeted by some boiling, gurgling noises from the coolant reservoir tank.

I'm pretty sure the engine was running a little hot, but I'm pretty sure its not supposed to BOIL the coolant, right?
