  1. Im looking to either get my engine rebuilt or do it myself. Or if its cheaper to do a v8 swap. Anyways my question is there anybody out there that sells a rebuild kit for the l28? or is there someplace in AZ that does rebuilds. The car has about 125k but is running really rough. thanks for the help in advance

So i was driving and the brakes were grinding in my 83 so i checked it and they were down to the metal. i switched out the pad and now theres no pressure in the system. i tried bleeding the brakes already and it did nothing. In the past i changed the rear calipers and bled them after and they were working fine. I took it to the shop and they said theres no pressure and that some calipers are getting more fluid than the others and on isn't getting any fluid. So does anybody know what it could be?? its one thing after another with this car :blink: thanks for the help

  3. Hi, im trying to find a high flow cat and i found some cheap off ebay but i dont know what size the stock exhaust is. i know this is probably going to the shed but im hoping i could get an answer first. So what is the diameter off the stock exhuast???

  4. I think Mikez31ss was referring to the fan clutch. The fan blade should be (tight) difficult to spin when the engine is cold and spins more freely at operating temp; If you can spin the fan blade when the engine is cold the clutch needs replaced--commonly overlooked as suspect to overheating problems.

  5. Do a leak down test or compression test. Or go get them done at a shop. Also when you changed your coolant, was is full of rust or gunk? Also what type of coolant mix do you use? 50/50? I use 70water/30coolant and use water wetter.

     

    Yeah it was brown lol my old water inlet got so corroted pieces broke off and my old radiator was really clogged up. Ive tried somethiing like the water wetter and it worked for a while but not long

  6. I had problems with my zx of it over heating after about half an hour running. So i changed the thermostat, radiator, water pump, head temp. sensor and i thought the problem was gone. Now the car is running pretty good but when i get stuck at lights for a while the temp. starts going up but goes back down once i start driving again. Also theres a ticking coming from the valve cover and it seems like it gets louder as the engine gets to operating temps. Really need to get this fixed soon so any input is great.. Thanks!

  7. Ive been looking for some rims and know what I want now but cant decide what color. Its between the gold or silver XXR 501s. I put up a pic of my car for reference. So what do you think gold or silver? And anybody have a picture of a blue zx with gold rims?
