  1. I recently purchased a Nissan Remanufactured L20 and it didn't have the Nissan 2000 OHC valve cover. My restoration project would not be complete without it. I'm in the market for one and if you have one, I'm ready to buy.

Please PM and we can talk about pricing.

It looks like a "2400 OHC" valve cover, instead of "2400" it says "2000"

    Thanks Hybrid Z.

  2. I recently picked up a 1975 280z to build into a nice weekend warrior car. I'm stilling working on another motor for it so for now it sits..but not for long...While I'm building my other motor to put in it, I thought I would at least get it into running condition so I can enjoy it for a little before school starts. When I bought it from my friend he told me that the car wouldn't go over 40 mph because the injectors are clogged and that the gas tank is rusty, that's why the injectors are clogged. When I sold the same exact car to him a couple years ago, the injectors weren't clogged.

Everything works fine, except it doesn't want to go over 40 mph. The car will crank for a bit, then start and idle just fine. It will rev..just fine and shifts into gear just fine. It's completely stock.. So is it true? Are my injectors clogged and filled with rust? That's why it won't go over 40mph? That's on a lucky day too most of the time it's 30mph. It will go up to 40 and I can just keep gassing it but 40 mph is where it wants to be.

Do I need to replace the injectors? Or is there another way to clean it out? Or is this not the problem at all? Could really use the help. I just want some reinforcement before I go through the hassle of replacing the injectors.

    Thanks HybridZ

  3. 3,500 views and only a few replies!

I'm a friendly guy, I won't bite any heads if you reply, surely some of you feel like replying, I wouldn't mind the feedback!

You will get more replies in the "S30 series" section. Not too many people visit this section.

I just want to say EXCELLENT job on the restoration. I haven't seen this type of restoration in a long time.

  4. I'm not sure if this is the right section here or anything but here goes...

I recently found out that after doing my 240sx transmission conversion that the transmission wouldn't shift into any other gear except for 5th. This could have been due to it not being in 3rd or 4th gear when the guy who did the conversion put on the bellhousing and the rods fell out of place or the rods fell out of place during the moving of the transmission, since the cover wasn't on when I moved it from the shop to home. The 240sx transmission shifted perfectly fine before the conversion so something musth have happened from then till now.

Somewhere along the way...I thought I knew what I was doing and pushed something that I think is for 5th and Reverse in and it stopped shifting into 5th. Once I realized it was a mistake I took of the bell housing and tinkered with it for a bit.

The transmission will now shift into 1st and 2nd. When I try to shift it into 4th, it will go in except for the fact that when it does that, it will push the piece that separates the bel housing from the rear away from the rear. If the bell housing was on correctly, it wouldn't be able to do that.

So my question is.... how do I get everything to shift normally and how would I pull the stick i pushed in back out? I guess the rods have gotten knocked out of place and things should be put back into place.

The photo shows the stick I pushed in that now will not come out and stopped me from shifting into 5th...

  5. I'm looking to buy a stainless steel downpipe for the stock l28et. I know MSA sells the aluminized steel one, but it's just not what I'm looking for. If you have a stainless one that you would like to sell please pm me. Thanks.

Edit: I'm open to any downpipe except for the stock one I guess.. I would just prefer it to be stainless.
