Doing a V8 swap and was wondering if anyone has reinforced the crossmember. Cant seem to find any topics on it or is it just not needed?

Im look to get some new tires pretty soon and I currently have the continental extreme contact 275/40/17 in rota rb's 9.5 wide I was wondering if I could fit a 315 tire in the 9.5 wide rim because I have a friend who's got a 2011 gt500 cobra and says he's got a 315 on a 9.5 inch rim anyone done this? Or can anyone suggest a good tire for me?

spring? i dont remember seeing a spring. So if i figure out how thick of a spacer i need can i just put it in before i put in the stub axle?

So i got my OBX LSD installed the other day and when it was installed i took it out for the first time i then came to realize this loud grinding noise that would happen when i let off the throttle in a gear and left it in gear and when I got out of the car and looked at the rear end i could see that the stub axles are hitting the differential housing should I be putting a spacer in before I put the stub axle in it? or is there something else wrong? It only happens when I am decelerating in a gear but goes away when I am on the throttle.

Yea he said he was going to throw it together and see what happens and see if the ring gear has run out

He knows about the spacers but main concern is the ring gear fitment.

Alright so i bought a OBX LSD and i brought it to my guy that does rearends and he was going to install it but noticed that the ring gear does not fit snug on the OBX unit it this going to be a problem or will it be ok once the bolts are tightened. Also just wanted to see if anyone else had this problem withe the OBX LSD car is a 1976 280z R200

Im going to be installing a lsd pretty soon and the shop I want to bring it too want me to have all the parts before I bring it in im alsothe going toto be redoing all bearings and he wants me to have a reliable source for shims so he can tell me what ones I need and can order them forward him anyone have a good site?

Because i have a sticker on my window that says "all throttle not bottle" hahaha but i think im just going to leave it as is and put the money towards the v8

I know my bad i was on my phone and didnt look over it. Well i dont plan on swapping the engine just throwing a turbo and running low boost.

Ok i have a N/A 1976 datsun 280z im going to be doing a v8 swap by next in about 6 months but in the mean time id like a bit more hp without spending alot. I been looking at the ebay turbo kits i know there not quality but i really only care for it to last me for 6 months i need it. What do you guys think. and also i was wondering about the exhaust manifold would i be able to use the manifold from the 280zx?

yea thats what i was thinking my car is still in the garage so i have yet to see what it looks like on the road but i think im gonna end up buying some projectors pretty soon

no it dosent seem like it the shield dosent look like it can be moved at all if it would help i can take it apart and snap a few pictures

this unit only has 500 miles on it and found all of these "spring washers" either flat or gouged out...
