  1. I'm using the cams along with the R34 cam angle sensor but no other mod's done to the wiring etc to make it work.
  2. R33 crank and N1 block JE 87mm Pistons Eagle Rods Tomei metal headgasket (Thicker than stock but can't remember of the top of my head the exact size) ARP head studs bottom end balanced R34 cams Turbos rebuilt with steel centre's James Thaggard intercooler 3" exhaust Profec B boost controller running 1 bar R32 standard injectors and ecu The guy doing the dyno could not believe the power output so did another run and it was 412bhp on the second run he did suggest maybe the turbos or cams where not stock as I had thought and I've not opened the ecu to see if it's been chipped all the mods done where more for safe power so for it to make this much was surprising. There was a big jump in power when making the smallest amount of boost increases.
  3. I've not been on the track or strip with it yet. I went to the strip on the previous RB26 engine that was in there but the engine was not running right so times were so awful it's not even worth mentioning engine only lasted another 100 miles or so before it died. Just had this new engine dyno'd a couple of weeks ago and it was making 420bhp so need to get it up the strip and see what its can do. Here is the dyno results was making a lot more power than was expecting
  4. Yeap 15x7 Compomotive ML's I really want to replace them with something bigger/wider that fills the arch a little more but no cash at the moment so will have to make do with those.
  5. Been meaning to post pictures of my zed for some time as it was built with the help of lots of people from Hybridz over the years.
  6. Can anybody help identify the make of wheel in the attached picture?
  7. My block never had a brass plug so I had a machine shop drill a hole for me. Once the sump is off if you look inside the engine you can see the notch inside the block were the hole would have exited if it had been drilled.
  8. Mike I'm interested in the gearbox mount, if your friend decides to make any put me down. Thanks Darren
  9. My block is suppose to have come from a R33 and it does not have a hole at the back either. I'm the same as Kazu currently looking into dry sumping it. Oh well more money to spend on my project.
  10. The car is owned by Mike Feeney who owns mjp where you got the picture from. If you post a question on zclub.net which is where he normally resides I'm sure he would happly tell you the kit he used.
  11. The part number I eventually found and ordered was 12361-42030.
  12. Thanks for the offer Rick I think I may have got the correct part numbers but if the mounts are wrong I will get in touch.
  13. I've got the billet engine mounts Rick Wong makes for my rb-z project which require 86-87 Toyota Supra Turbo rubber insulators. So I thought it would be easy enough to get these mounts here in the UK but after speaking to some dealers in the UK it turns out we never got the Turbo model till 88. So does anybody know the part number for 86-87 Turbo insulators you can get in the US so I can then hopefully use the part numbers to purchase them special order. Or a company online that sells the insulators who is ok with shipping them outside the US. Thanks Darren.
  14. Thanks for your advice guys, I will keep the sump as is then. I was going to fit an oil cooler anyway so thats a plus.
  15. After 6 months of my car sitting on axle stands while I very slowly rebuild the suspension I should soon be ready to fit the engine but I've got 2 questions I would like opinions on before I start this from people who have already transplanted RB's into there zed's. 1, The guy who prepared my engine strongly recommended having the sump enlarged as he said the 200ZR sump had too small an oil capacity for the engine. Has anybody else enlarged there sump's or are they running with stock sized 200ZR sumps ok. 2, What's the best way to install the engine and gearbox. Engine first then fit the gearbox from underneath. Or fit the box and engine together. Thanks in advance.
  16. Thanks Stony for you help. I was getting worried I would have to guess my oil level. Now I only have to worry about getting the engine to fit nicely once it's ready to collect from the guy's building my engine. Then it's off to the bodyshop
  17. Thanks Zardilla I'm glad there's already a hole I can use. I think I will leave it upto the the guy's I've got sorting my engine to do the trial and error on the dipstick length. Darren
  18. My RB26 is currently being overhauled by a Skyline specialist and I'm trying to source a Z31 200ZR sump for him to convert the RB to a rear bias sump. My question for anybody who's done this conversion is what did you do with the dipstick since the dipstick fits at the front of the engine. How am I going to check my oil? Thanks Darren
  19. I've just bought my RB26DETT engine and an R33 GTST gearbox for my 240z I've already bought the engine mounts from Skyline240Z but now I'm looking for somebody who is selling the GTST gearbox mount or does anybody have a diagraim with dimensions I could use to get somebody to make one from. Thanks in advance. Darren.
  20. Does anybody know of anyone selling ready modified 200ZR sumps, and pickups that will bolt straight up to an RB26 engine. I don't fancy cutting and modifying the sump myself and my search for someone selling a modified sump has come up with nothing so far. Thanks in advance.
