  1. You da man! Thanks for posting this info.
  2. Do you think the Mazda HVAC would work with the stock Z dash? I just think the original dash is cool. I don't know if I missed it but what year Miata?
  3. What year Lexus did you source the parts from?
  4. I didn't know how bad mine was until I dug it out of the corner of the garage.
  5. I have a set, they're brown. Nothing a coat of paint won't fix. I have pics if you're interested
  6. I'm looking for the chrome windshield trim for a 78 2+2. I don't know if all years are the same. Thanks in advance.
  7. Wide as in I needed to cut an inch out of the length. As I went to take pics it started to rain. I tried to work it into the corners but still had too much material in the middle. I;ll try to take pics tomorrow.
  8. Hi all,I finally picked up a windshield for my 78 2+2. I got the weatherstripping from Motorsports auto. I immediately notices the rubber was saggy around the windshield, it's about an inch and a half too wide. Same result when I tried to install the rubber on the frame first. Questions, has anyone seen this before? Can the rubber be cut?? Do I just need to buy another weatherstripping from another vendor? Any help is appreciated.
  9. I need a windshield for a 78 280, but I think they're all the same. I'm in southeastern PA. I can travel a few hours if necessary. I can't seem to find one around here.
  10. Miles, Thanks for the info. I have searched the posts, sometimes I find that there is too much and often conflicting information. I have the Wilwood M/C and am going with the 13" Earls performance brake lines from Summit. I just needed info on the fitting size into the caliper. By what you've written above it's an AN fitting and just to be specific it's a -3 correct?
  11. I just got the Toyota S12w calipers for my 78 280 and was wondering which fitting you guys are using. Is there a difference or benefit to using the banjo style fitting? Also if you could let me know the thread size on what you bought that would help too. Thanks in advance.
  12. Wow, once again things that happened in the 80's comes back to haunt me! Thanks all!
  13. I am hoping someone out there can help me with this. I have a 78 2+2 and I am on to buying small rubber pieces and weather stripping. I can't seem to find out what goes in these holes in the door jamb, the one above and below the door latch. Can anyone tell me? Any help is appreciated.
  14. I've decided to yank the rats nest made by the previous owner and do a total rewire with EZ Wire harness 21. I know I need to leave the dash harness, question is.. Is there any other wiring I need to leave or save from the old harness? I don't know if it makes a difference but I am dumping the straight six for a V8. Any help is appreciated.
  15. Just an FYI for everyone. I found Pegasus racing has longer push rods specifically for Tilton master cylinders. Up to 6 inches. Looks like that may be an easy fix.
  16. I had an aftermarket clutch M/C, the rod is actually a little shorter. On the Tilton M/C with the clevis extended to the end I still need 1/8". I just held the clevis to the end of the rod. So if the aftermarket clevis is crap, what would you guys do? I'd like to avoid welding if I can.
  17. I'm getting ready to install my Tilton 75-875U this week so I guess I'll be running into the same issue. My question is (and I'm a noob) from what it sounds like the Tilton rod is a little too short. I did some quick searching and have seen different length clevis forks. Would a slightly longer clevis do the trick?
  18. I ordered the ones from trackspeed. It said they were inverted. Thanks for the info guys!
  19. I'm about to install the new brake system in my 280 but I'd like some info on one part. Can anyone tell me where they found the M10 to 3/8_24 adapter that goes from the brake line to the proportioning valve? I would like to avoid cutting and reflaring the line with a sae fitting. Thanks all
  20. Thanks for all the info. I think I have it straight now and I can make a sound decision.
  21. I am about to upgrade the brakes on my 78 2+2. I have researched this question but haven't found a straight answer. When it comes to the splitter on the drivers fender wall and the proportioning valve on the firewall I want to replace/upgrade them due to age and the fact that everything else will be upgraded. I have seen some people put the proportioning valve in place of the splitter. Some have done away with the splitter and gone from the M/C directly to the front brakes and used a proportioning valve just for the rear. What's the difference and is one set up better than the other? I have the Wilwood M\C, Toyota front brake setup. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  22. I'm looking for a pair of 1978 inner fenders. please contact me if you have any for sale. Thanks.
  23. Good point. I have updated my profile, I'm just outside of Philadelphia. I'm not in a huge rush to get the parts so if you don't mind shipping maybe we can work something out.
  24. I am in need of some small parts for my 76 2+2. License plate frame light Dome light Front amber signal lenses I also need the battery tray area from a donor car. PM me and I'll send pics of the area I need. Any help is appreciated
