  1. S30z Bushido, I'm purchasing it from Ron Davis Radiators (click for website). I don't know what the final cost will be since I still have to decide on the inlet and outlet sizes. However, I was quoted $219.00 for the basic radiator, $50.00 for the dual pass option and $15.00 per inlet/outlet for size or angle change. I'll let you know my final price when I order the radiator. 2. No turbo or intercooler at this time, however, those are very good points Pete. I currently do not have any plans on going turbo, but like I said before I want to leave my options open. After checking my calculations and measurements it will be tight but I think any future intercooler plumbing should fit. Ruben '72 240Z
  3. S30Z Bushido, No, Ron Davis Radiators does not make a radiator specifically for the S30. However, they do have one model (26163) that I think will fit perfectly for my application. The overall dimensions are 26" x 16". This will allow me to have the largest core size width of 22" fit perfectly within the front radiator opening. With the core size height of 16" it won't hang down below the radiator frame. Because this model has the bottom tanks angled in, it will clear the frame rails. Here is a picture. '72 240Z Ruben
  4. I'm getting ready to order a Ron Davis aluminum radiator and have the option of choosing the inlet/outlet size. The standard size is 1 1/2" inlet and 1 3/4" outlet. Is there any advantage to using the larger sizes out of the radiator to the smaller size of 1 3/8" into an L6 engine? Should I just order the radiator to match the engine inlet and outlet? I'm currently using a NA 280ZX engine in my 240Z and do not have any plans at the moment to go with a V8 but I always like to leave my options open. '72 240Z Ruben
  5. Do you have a rear sway bar installed in your 240Z? If you do, did you have any clearance issues between the sway bar and the CV axle boots? Ruben '72 240Z
  6. John, I would be very interested. Are you planning to base the design on the original 240ZG G-nose? Ruben '72 240Z
  7. With a few corrections this seems to work. http://www.ahrens-z-car-specialist.com/ Ruben '72 240Z
  8. Hey John did you ever sell the Monocoque 16 x 9 wheels? Ruben '72 240Z
  9. I just happen to be browsing ARP's website and saw the head studs, part number is 202-4206. Like yo2001 suggested, look it up at www.summitracing.com. Ruben '72 240Z
  10. Thanks Terry, that's exactly what I wanted to see and as a bonus you added an excellent description. Ruben '72 240Z
  11. When mounting the rear sway bar from the uprights, do the sway bar links attach to the control before or after the CV axel? Does anyone have any pictures of what it looks like? I'm trying to visualize the different options that have been mentioned to see which will work best. If anyone else has used a different approach please feel free to post. Thanks, Ruben '72 240Z
  12. Mike, I saw in Ground Control's website the uprights with their sway bar kits. Perhaps I can just order the mounting hardware from them and see how it fits. Anyone else have CV's and rear sway bars? Scottie, Pete... Ruben '72 240Z
  13. Terry, How much clearance do you have between the CV boots and the sway bar? Does the clearance change when cornering and on uneven roads? Ruben
  14. Mike, I hope you don't mind my posting this here. Don't want you to think I'm discarding your advice, just want to see what others have done before doing any more work. I'm hoping someone has come up with a brilliant easy solution (LOL, it could happen). Ruben
  15. Hey Tim, What did you end up doing to resolve the interference problem? I'm currently in the same dilemma and was wondering what others have done to get more clearance. Thanks, Ruben '72 240Z
  16. MSA is Motorsport Auto, a vendor of new and some used Z and ZX parts. They're website is www.zcarparts.com. Ruben
  17. I have not had to use their technical or customer support at Quaife America. So that's good to know, I'll make sure I call Taylor if I need any assistance. Thanks John. Ruben
  18. John, Just a suggestion to Mike. I noticed that Mike lives in Trabuco Canyon and could just pick up a Quaife at Quaife America in San Juan Capistrano (http://www.quaifeamerica.com). The price is the same and would not have to pay for shipping. Here is the address. Quaife America 32240-E Paseo Adelanto San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675 Main: (949) 240-4000 Fax: (949) 240-0450 E-Mail: info@quaifeamerica.com Of course Mike would not have to pay tax if ordering from Texas so maybe it would just even out. Oh well just a thought. Ruben '72 240Z
  19. It could just be that you need to adjust the float level on the rear carb. If you have already checked the float level then it must be the needle valve gone bad. I'm not aware of any way to fix a needle valve aside from replacing it. Ruben '72 240Z
  20. Bump! I would also like to know for future reference. Ruben '72 240Z
  21. Does anyone know where Eric (http://www.zparts.com) is, I've been trying to get a hold of him for a month now. Eric if you see this please email me. Thanks, Ruben '72 240Z
  22. Hey Norm, which Nissan race book are you referring to? Ruben '72 240Z
  23. John, It's late so I only have a couple things. Fuel pressure should not exceed 3.5 psi or the carburetors will flood. Ideally fuel pressure should be between 3 - 3.5 psi, if it exceeds 3.5 psi then you will have to install a regulator. The pooling of fuel is most likely caused by incorrect float level. I don’t know which 45 DOCE model you have otherwise I could give you the float level adjustment setting. If the Carbs are “sneezing†under light to moderate throttle then you are too lean. Try opening the mixture screws, if that does not work then your idle jets are too small. Also try advancing the timing and see if that helps. Weber’s like a lot of advanced timing, 15 – 20 degrees initial advance. Hope this helps. Ruben ’72 240Z
  24. Hey Terry, I thought the ebrake will only adjust the rear brakes if they are drums. If using the ZX disc brakes in the rear, they should be self adjusting. I believe Dan is using the ZX disc in the rear. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I'd just hate to see Dan go through all the work of hooking up the ebrake if he does not need to. Ruben '72 240Z
