5700 rpm, 4.11 gears, T-56 6th gear, 225/45/17 = 200+ mph.......
Mopar, Cool info. Thanks!
But 200mph? (i wish) hahaha. We all know that is NO WAY even close to possible or a reality! Total pipe dream for ANY stock bodied Z. I will have to try again, this spring, paying more attention.
And yes, for safety sake, it will be done on public roads.
Hmmmm.... There is a large gap from a missing bridge in I-35W now....
Maybe I can clear it....

Ok I have no speedo. All I can say it was TOO fast for the car and it was still pulling hard. 327 SBC/7000 redline-hp unknown, T-56, sixth gear, 5700+ rpms, 225/45/17, R200 ratio unknown. I don't think it could redline top gear, and it shoudn't anyways, but this car is very capable of doing 150 mph.

You running a PCV valve?
The rings may be sticking from not running for sometime. Try a little Sea Foam down the intake when its running after fully warmed up. It can't hurt.

Another serious off road ZX racer...

Gabe, Big Improvement and Looks Great!

I like your car! Get rid of the flares, though from your wheel placement it looks like you may need them. It would be a shame to cut up your Z to mount just to mount those things.

Very Cool Myron! Nice work!

Nice work, You da man!!

I like those fender mirrors. Does anyone know off hand who sells those?

PDK makes a fiberglass dash, I would be interested in one that was more "street orientated" though. One that used the stock mounting points.
A FG dash using the early Z oem mount points would be cool!

I believe that this should be in its own thread. I had it in another thread but I think lots of you would want to see this so here it is.

He said the car is running the quarter mile in 8.60s at 155 on the motor and 8.30's at 165 on the juice. This run didn't allow wheelie bars so he backed off a bit. The car is street legal. Well, it is tagged!
It has a 572 BBC in it.
oK this my fav on Hybridz!

The look on that man's face while he blips the throttle says volumes.
Very Cool!

I wish I could slap the dumb out of that guy. That's so wrong in so many ways. The worst being that it's published on the web.
If you're going to wheelie a sandrail like that(as an adult even)the floorboard should be mesh so you can see where your going, that kid only saw blue sky...
I always wonder how these idiots make the kind of $ it cost to play with those things, let alone let the kid rip it around. That rail probably cost $50-80,000..
I disagree, That kid is great, His dad is great, The sandrail is great, The wheelie is great. The kid appeared to have the disipline to repect the ride. Very Cool! I am sure the course, lip and run were throughly planned out, as it should be using common sence. Like life, no risk no gains. Rock on kid!
