  1. I saw that car a long time ago when I was doing research on making biodiesel. Now that I know a little more about Z cars, I'm thinking that after I get my 260 moving along, this might be my next project... I would kill for something cool that got 44 mpg. And everything is just bolt it! Oh yeah, this is definitely one for my list of things to do!
  2. No, it's not just you. He took them down, they were only temporary pics. I would have liked to see them also.
  3. An NPR intercooler would work for what I want to do? I didn't think it would support that much power.
  4. I'd have to disagree with that... An intercooler that is way too small or not efficient can actually cost you power, or put unnecessesary loads on your turbo to achieve the same power level you had before the intercooler...
  5. I am a certified aluminum welder, and I have a TIG welder, so it won't cost me anything to weld it but my time, a little gas, and welding rod. I was in the sticky turbo for begginers guide at the top that you shouldn't choose an intercooler for an engine with less HP than your L28ET... Well if they 300zxTT can make ~300 I don't see why it wouldn't work for me. I'm not out to set the world on fire. I'm just looking to make between 200-300 HP.
  6. I have access to a set of 300zxTT intercoolers. I was wondering if I could just use one of them on my 280zxt, or would it not be enough? Another thought I has was to take the (straight out) end caps off and weld the cores together there. Then it would be pretty good sized. I know the core design was pretty good. What do you guys think of this?
  7. No one would happen to have a pic of an HKS setup, whould they? I was thinking of putting a hole in the radiator support, but the A/C condencer lines run through the prime area (just above the AFM hole)... Looks like this is gonna be pretty hard to do with out removing the A/C stuff, unless I go to a MegaSquirt system to get rid of the AFM... It will happen in due time, but not right now. Anyone have any pics of a ZX or even a Z with A/C intact and an intercooler installed?
  8. There was this awesome intercooler that was pretty cheap on ebay that I was going to buy, but then I went out to the car to measure things up, and there is no where to run the piping. I would have to remove the stock air box to have a place for the IC. That's no problem because I'm gonna stick a K&N filter setup (the 90 degree bend w/ a filter) on there sooner or later... Might as well be sooner, right? OK, now that is out of the way, where to put the holes for the IC piping? There seemed to be a good spot just above the air-filter hole, but this is an A/C car and the copper lines are in the way! Now I'm crap out of luck and ideas for installing an IC... How do you guys do it on a ZX car with A/C? I don't want to remove the A/C because it works great, nice and cold, and it's nice to have sometimes. Any ideas? Thanks!
  9. Take it back and make him do it for FREE!
  10. Lookin' great Brad! Can't wait to see it out and about!
  11. Sorry to hijack the thread but... bastaad525: Is that 1st gen eclipse BOV adjustable? If not what is it's set level?
  12. That is very interesting... Sounds like that would be quite the hot setup if you could get everything mounted up. I'll definitely be picking one of those up as soon as I get some $$ laying around.
  13. Seems like it would be more drag passing the air through the SC while it wasn't spinning. Still a very interesting set up. I think I am definitely going to pick one up for my 620, it could be fun!
  14. How exactly does that SC work? I've never seen one that worked off an electric clutch. I've always wanted to come up with a "Mad Max" on/off system ever since I saw it when I was little! This would be a neat setup for my 620 pickup!
