is it possible to put the 240 bumpers on the 280 bodied 260 then? when they say 280 body that only pertains to the bumpers. and the radiator core support then? interesting. It has the big gaudy safety front bumper that would be taken off in a hurry.... just wanna see if the sweet clean 240 bumpers would fit, and what mods if any would need to be made to make this happen? Is there a place to get the vin number listings for these? like which had what? -Cody

I am getting ready to purchase a 74 260Z. the Owner doesn't know much about these cars, and the only on I have had was a 78 280Z.... the carbs on the 260z are round with a knob on the top, so I am assuming they are the round top SU's. does anyone know how to tell the distinguishing characteristics on the 260's that define whether it is the 240, or 280 body? the Vin# is: RLS30-064924 anyone know????? Thanks. I searched but found really nothing pertaining to this... I know it has been discussed more times then worth mentioning,..... just can't find it!

I want it, looks like a Auston Martin from the side.... bravo, headlights are a tad fagged, but bodykits will change that........ could probably get the auston martin headlights on it even!

I know why Aux said it, but I may be missing the joke between the two, also I know it needs slight rearend work, the knocking under accel/decel is from brken mustache bar right? where can a person get a LSD to fit this and match up with the tranny/driveshaft?

I have read all over the place on here, and have found a crapload of usefull info, but nothing to really help me in this situation. I just wanted to know from the opinions of the experts if there is anything I should look for with the swap that could be a potential issue? body is decent motor is said to be perfect, and interior needs peices here and there, but all in al decent condition.... I will be trading him for a 90 mazda miata with 213k chassis miles, that has some extras. anything that i should look for? no rust in on or around battry tray, frame, hatch, spare tire, floor pans, or etc. anything helps! thanks a bundle -Cody

i am currently purchasing a 260 in Sacramento thatthe owner is installing a r20 diff in for me so i can drive it home, is this a limited slip diff? if not what options do i have to get an lsd? do they go in the housing? or do i have to get a whole new diff to get a LSD? thanks. -Cody
