simple ignition solution eh, no one said it had to look pretty... Im going to take care of this problem while the engine is back out just to make life easier.

do I look like I know what Im doing?.....Well, ok then. Its in the car, sorta. Its still sitting on jack stands until I get the crossmember welded in. Nonetheless, progess.

Finally found time to get my hands dirty....again. Im not doing any significant mods to the engine yet. Im just more concerned with getting it in the car and running. I have an engine crossmember on the way from BetaMotorsports. Awesome people by the way. As soon as I get the engine bolted in, I can start fabricating the trans cossmember. I found time to reassemble the clutch assembly and bolt the trans to the engine this morning. I inspected the engine and Im glad I did. I found loads of broken electrical clips, loose bolts on the valve covers, a broken rubber glove stuffed under the coil packs, and water sitting around the spark plugs. Who knows what else im over-looking, but Im sure I'll find it soon.

BTW guys, the 2JZ-GTE showed up yesturday. I called JDM engines Corp yesturday for a tracking number and they seemed a little baffled and said it was out for delivery. That was amazingly fast shipping. I had it delivered to work so the mechanics can oh and ah over it, but when I tried to get the engine home, I found out that our "million dollar" facility doesnt even have chains for our engine hoist. So, hopefully i can get it home during luch today since my college classes start tonight.

I havent rolled them...yet. Im still curious to see what it would look like if it was lowered a little bit. I think Im going to end up getting fender flares since Im looking for some real wide rear tires.

Worst hangover of my life, but pulled the engine like I said I would.

Lower control arms finally came in today. Finished one side, but Im still trying to extract the spindle pin out of the right strut assembly. Still fighting with JDM engine corps for this 2jzgte, but they are giving me a hard time about having a different shipping address than my billing address. Well excuse me for not being able to fit an engine in my p.o. box lol.

Well, it sorta looks pretty. Now to make it go fast. I'm engine shopping tonight now that I have 3k in the bank. I know im going to get some flak for getting a 2jz, but Im happy as long as its nasty fast and relatively easy to put in the car. Giving Beta Motorsports a call too for that niffty engine mount.

Im probably going to go with the 280zx rear calipers and rotors. If you can get me a good price on those brackets, we can work something out. Someone has a pair of those brackets on ebay for about $150

I've got some Techno Toy Tuning lower control arms coming soon. I've removed the old fuel lines and removed the entire rear brake line. Im going to start piecing together the rear disc brakes and start bending my own brake lines.

Basically exactly what I did. I was using a scotchbrite roloc wheels. The wire wheel idea got real old after the bristles break off and hit me in the face a few times. I've just been using Rustoleum for everything so far. I just used the High Temp engine paint becuase I happen to have it laying around. My problem is, I snapped off one of the bolts that bolt this assembly to the frame and its being a real pain.

This turned out way better than I thought it would. I guess I under-estimate my abilities sometimes.

Redoing the fuel cell frame while Im waiting for my new bushings to arrive. finally got the 205/45r17's on the rims and on the car I cant really explain this. I guess its my new and improved high performance brake cooling lol My next project. Im not really looking forward to this.

Well, between work and getting smashed at the Tiki Bar opening weekend, I managed to get a little work done. I removed the old, worn out differential bushings, sanded and painted the mustashe bar and tranverse link. I also took out the fuel cell and it's frame to redesign it.

Thanks guys! Glad to see I have some followers. Its been a rough project, but its becoming a head turner now....and Im just getting warmed up lol. I've got a 2jzgte engine mount in progess, tires for the front should be in next week, some fuel cell modifications and some progess on the floor pans soon. I'll keep everyone updated!
