My concern right now, other than resurrecting my floor pans, is to get the car running under its own power. So, to eliminate further issues, I went ahead and removed the turbo system, cleaned and installed the stock instake and dual webers and ordered new replacement filters. I had to, also, order the fuel pump, ballast resistor, lower radiator hose and a distributor. Other than that, I believe the engine should start.
If Im not mistaken, I believe this might be a new dash because I would find it hard to believe that a 36 year old dash would look this nice...
I took the plugs out and to my suprise, they were brand new. I sprayed some lubricant into the cylinders to loosen the rings before trying to crank it over with no compression. Sure enough, I dropped a practically dead battery in and after tracing down some loose wires, it slowly cranks over. It appears to be new oil and filter too. I also test out the electronics. The only issues Im having is: no brake lights, dash illumination, and back up lights. I have a little bit more work to do before I attempt to fire it up, i.e stock exhaust manifold.
