  1. man im sorry to hear that.I am glad that you and your yongster are ok..Scary stuff. whats the list look like so far?
  2. It says it doesnt fit Bosch or Jetronic tho. or do you really think it matters?
  3. Alright cool. -streeteg thats what i want my z too look like... not just toggles... the whoel thing
  4. Hence why im asking. I dont dont have a proper set of tools. Was hoping for an opinion just to check
  5. (*was originally posted in wrong section*) hey guys its me again, i have a few ppl waiting with a shop to paint my car, when all of the sudden she wont start... its a 76 280z stock. I start it, it sputters for about two seconds then dies(wont let me touch the gas either) I checked spark, all six are firing. i pulled off the gas line after the filter, its getting plenty...Can fuel injected engines get 'flooded'? thats how it seems to act... i wait a few minutes then go to start it, again, it sputters for two to three seconds, dies then i immediatly try again... it sputters then dies...But if i try a third time, nothing.Wait then it tries another two times, then nothing... and its cold as hell, but that has never stopped her. anyone? plz help they are waiting! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C31OVzg2N60 *UPDATE* Well there is the picture. i searched a few forums, and i noticed that alot of you said that your fuel pump was loud when it went out, or was going out... Mine is really loud...You can hear it from inside the car, and probably up to about 15-20 feet away.I also see that it was a little pinched before i pulled it down...but it ran like that before... could a take any other external fuel pump and hook it up to the lines and electrical, or would i have to get that exact one? What do you guys think? Is this FP kaput? thanks guys another dumb question...(from me? no way!big shocker.) when i pulled off the fuel line after the filter i primed it and it squirted out about an inch(too weak???) ....I know, i know, get a fuel pressure guage.
  6. The replica was actually an assumption on my part, never thought id see a rifle that cheap with historic significance.
  7. well thanks man i will give this a try later, the guys at the shop gave up on me ( also if i heated up the engine with an a floor heater would it maybe help?)
  8. dang i might scoop me up one...own a lil piece o history where the ones sold at big five ever actually used? or more of surplus type deal?
  9. This is correct. if i wait a minute or so i can get it to sputter another "set" of two before having to wait again
  10. Oh, at ours they just sell the rifle, nothing else. Why do they have so many i have seen them in there for years?
  11. i have seen replicas of those at big five, but without the genuine goods you have, and no bayonet. Thought about pickin one up my semiautos are way inaccurate and bullet consuming... i need something that doesnt tempt my to rattle off the whole clip and say "well, there goes 6 bucks" IMO bolt actions are more accurate. nice gun!
  12. Get an industrial sized roll of Saran Wrap and go under and around the whole car...Then a car cover keep your neighbors from giving you weird looks lol
  13. Yea my ignition is ghetto-rigged by the PO. so i checked the two things... and they are connected by some custom(likewise ghetto-rigged) wiring..BUT! it seems that they are adequatly grounded. i disconnected the clip on the right( if your facing the car) and the car would idle for a nearly double 5-6 seconds before dieing. It even let me do half a rev once. Could i maybe put a heater under the car for and see if it will start then? (btw guys thanks so much for the hasty responses)
  14. so where are these two parts im out looking at the car which ones are they? ill check the grounds
  15. and i guess having the fuel pump always on isnt helping? any quick fixes? everyones is waitin an naggin :(
  16. water temp sensor? whats that? how does it tie in or stop the car?
  17. Oh ok, sounds good. Ill do some 'diggin'.
