  1. Does anyone know what amperage fuses to use on the 4 wires that go to my fusible link box? I know the wires from the box go to the alt, ign relay, ign switch, and one is spliced between the ign switch and fuel pump relay 1.
  2. On my 79 280zx i am suppose to take out the guts from the fusible links and put it into the turbo case for the fusible links right? Then where do i connect the brown and green wire coming off of the turbo harness

  4. i solved most of my problems except for On the ignition switch the BW is that the signal for the switched ignition? Is there where i connect the Y from the 8 pin connector? One more thing to ask. WHERE IS THE CONNECTER FOR THE FUEL PUMP RELAY...? (might be a stupid question, BUT I DONT KNOW!)
  5. The 8 pin connector by the ecu. The YW wire that you are suppose to use, on my harness the wire is solid white. Is it still the same wire? The 6 pin connector by the battery. the LR wire that goes to the fuel pump relay, does anyone know where to attack it on a 79 zx?
  6. holy crap! That is exactly what i need done! I took my manifold to a shop and they said that they didnt want to do exactly what you did!!!!!! I was wondering if you could help me? This is the only part of my build that is holding me back now. Everything is pretty much done as far as my zx to zxt swap goes. I also have the 38mm tial wastegate with a t3/t04e
  7. i live by atpturbo.com and by turbohoses.com. Ive never been to turbohoses, but i have gone to atpturbo, and i can highly recommend them.
  8. also on the 83 harness i says hook the "Y" to ignition. What part?
  9. I am looking at my 79 wiring schmatic and it shows that i have 2 fuel pump relays? I dont really understand that? It said fuel pump relay(1) fuel pump relay (2). Where do i wirethe 83 turbo harness to? Im going off of http://www.strausz.us/zcar/turboswap/ and it sais the LR wire goes to fuel pump relay, but i dont know which one it is?
  10. Im wokring on the car right now. I have my oem 280zx turbo flywheel and a 90-96 NA 300zx clutch. The pressure plate bolts line up perfect, but the dowels that line it up are off by maybe 1-2mm. Help i dont know what to do!
  11. Okay so i brought my external wastegate flange and exhuast manifold to a header shop and the guy was saying how he didnt want to weld on it and that it wouldnt be safe. I dont know what to do now and im a bit stuck. If you guys can suggest a shop or something that would be great! I live in the bay area in california.
  12. okay i gave in... I went with a 38mm tial wastegate with a .8 spring.

  15. how do you determine what your diff ratio is? Im not sure, i have a 87 300zx OPEN r200. What are the possibilities of what it might be?

  17. okay so im not sure about this, im going to the store tomorrow, but i beleive i have a ford type 5 bolt dischrage flange? Im going to try to pick up a new wastegate discharge flange tomorrow. But as far as my actuator goes, i noticed that on the oem turbo the actuator is twisted or pulled a little bit. Do i replicate this wen creating my new bracket?
  18. the actuator rod is too short, and like i said the oem 5 bolt dischrage flange dosent bolt up the pattern is different
  19. so im guessing external wastegate and custom downpipe is my only alternative?
  20. i believe, but i need to double check, but the t3 side of my turbo is bigger than stock now. What is NFI?
  21. I bought a new t3/t4 t04e as you guys recommended on the forums. Now im trying to understand if and how im suppose to use the oem wastegate. My other question is, is the 5 bolt discharge flange different? My oem t3 discharge flange does not line up, the bolt hoels are off. And what about the down pipe, do i just go custom?
