  13. I basically had to recreate mine. I made mine straight from the front fender to the rear of the car. From the pictures that I have seen on the net they should be straight all the way.
  14. Post a picture of your body line and I will see if it matches mine.
  15. I’m not sure that I would completely strip the paint off the body. I would only do it if there are signs of body damage, body work, or tons of paint. Sand the material on the car. Block everything out then work on the body lines. This will save a lot of time and money. I went to bare metal on my z but there was evidence of poor body work and tons of paint. Spend the money on good sand paper. Don't be cheap. I would strongly recommend using 3m paper. It is the best I have ever used and it lasts a lot longer than anything on the market.
  16. I use masking tape to mark the body line. Once the masking tape is applied sand all the way to the edge of the tape and then remove the tape and apply a new tape line at the bottom on the body line and sand to that edge. This will give you a straight well-defined body line. http://www.how-to-build-hotrods.com/body-lines-straight.html

  23. Dec 15, 2011 Car comes off the rotisserie. I installed all of the suspension before I took I off the rotisserie so I didn’t have to lay on my back to do it. Jan 8th 2012 I decided to go with a LS1 and a T56 combo. I just bought the engine and transmission for a sweet deal. I am planning on doing so work to the engine before I install it into the car. I bought a LS6 intake, valve springs, push rods, and trying to figure out the cam I want to go with. Jan 21th 2012 I am in the body work stage at the moment. I just laid down epoxy primer on the shell. Jan 22nd 2012 I just finished with the last rust repair. I hope to have all of the panels ready for paint in the next couple of weeks. It’s very hard for me to get motivated when it’s cold in the garage. I have a heater but I think Im just being a lazy ass.
