  1. I have not swap'd my 6 for a v8 yet; however I have been thoroughly researching how I would set my eng/trns 280Z when I'm ready for the swap & will definately go w/6spd. My question(s) to all who have done the swap: 1) When racing someone or during a hard acceleration how much tire spin is there in each gear. 2) Because of the xtra power-what are your shift points 3) For those who respond please advise what your tire size is, rear end gears & transmission you are running. 4) Also anyone responding if you have had your engine dyno'd please referance your hp/torque-rpm #'s. I appreciate anyone's response & welcome any insight.
  2. Back in the early 90's I visited Ennis, just south of Dallas, during the Musclecar Natl's & there was a guy that ran a burnt orange Opel GT w/454.....yes a 454 in it. Needless to say he ran the 1/4 quite easily in the high 9's. I dont think it was his daily driver either.

  5. My Two Cents Worth..., If I'm not too late in giving it & I'm not trying to put anyone down-since you asked, "Which bolt holes to use" tells me you haven't had much experience pulling engines. Accidents happen even to knowledgeable idividuals with very good intentions. PLEASE MAKE SAFETY YOUR #1 GOAL & IT ALWAYS HELPS TO HAVE SOMEONE W/YOU WHEN YOUR PULLING YOUR ENGINE WHO HAS ALREADY BEEN THRU THE PROCESS. Again just my two cents worth & I 'felt' (yes I'm a true Southern Texan) the need to remind you of what you probably already know. Good Luck & lots of fun w/your project.
