I posted on here a few months back I was looking for a few driveline parts, and have found all of my desired components.. Except a good L28. I would like to find an F54/p79 engine in RUNNING condition. Mods such as cam, etc and other engine work are a huge plus. This will be to swap into my 240z. Let me know what youve got. Ok update time. Ive got the 5spd, and am picking up a 3.9 R200 this friday. I have an engine lined up, but that is still not 100% (keep the offers coming). Right now I just need the triple webers! I am in no rush as this is my winter project, but I'm sure someones got a set laying around somewhere!

I am looking for driveline parts to swap into my 240z over the winter. I have decided on a N/A setup, but from there I've yet to fully decide on my end goal. So I figured I'd just see what is out there. I know I need a 5-spd out of a '77-'78 280z, and a 3.9 R200. If anyone has an L28 or stroker engine, or a triple weber carb setup let me know! Ah ok, thanks. Can anyone suggest what a reasonable asking price would be? I've looked all over, and the only places I've been able to find them new/rebuilt are retailers asking $1k plus. I don't expect NEARLY as much, as I know these aren't hard to come by at all.

With my most recent purchase, the previous owner included a spare diff all boxed up. I paid no attention to it at first. However today my curiosity got the best of me and I decided to open it up. I was suprised, I hadnt noticed the japanese lettering on the side with "NISSAN" on the box before. I opened it up, and it was a brand new R200 still in the original NISSAN packaging. Now my 2 questions- Is there any way besides turning the and counting the number of times the axels spin to determine the gear ratio (Based on this method I guesstimate a 3.54)? Or are there specific markings? Also, what would a fair asking price be for this? I am more interested in a 3.9 for my project.

Well I purchased my 240z this morning, and tonight driving home from work a deer ran out infront of me and collided with me. Luckily, only the hood was dented. Let me know if you have a hood available (rust free preferable) In the VA area. I was given a spare differential with the car (im assuming r180) so I could include that as a parcial trade if desired. Yea. I think I've settled on rebuilding the L24. Just need to find a buyer for the l28et setup I have to fund it.

Well the Z was as described. Drove GREAT. And the original owner had it rust proofed on day one (originally from canada). I am definitely going to pick it up. Pics to come

Well I have arranged a time to look at it sunday. I will take as many pictures as possible for you all to pass judgement.

My original idea was to swap in the l28et sitting in my garage. But with my low HP goals I have considered just rebuilding the stock engine. So if anyone needs an l28et, let me know and buy it before I am tempted to put it in this.

I plan on trying to go down this weekend to check it out. Do you all think the seller's asking price is fair, if he is thruthful about the rust? (Which from my experience... never is the case)

I'm located in the Northern VA area, looking for a 240z. I already have an l28et, so would prefer it to NOT have an engine. One thing I am concerned about is rust and exterior condition. I would like the cleanest car possible. I have poured over CL and eBay listings for weeks, yet have come to no avail. Have around $3-3.5k to spend. Offer up. Or just a really clean stock Z.
