Very true. If its a solid base color. you might be able to get away with that. However, since you already sanded it, post some pics from up close. You have to look at the texture first before you go any further. If its a metallic you will not be able to do this, if will show through to the end. The metallic flakes will not spread properly, they will be textured and there will be lighter and darker spots, in most cases. Just telling you from experience, if you take shortcuts now, it will most likely show through the end. This is the best and easiest time to fix anything. I've been through it, and i learned my lesson after a couple full car paint jobs that had to be redone.

That blotchiness will show through the clear. What i would recommend would be to block sand with wet 400 to 600 grit. What size gun tip are you using for your base? What kind of gun? What kind of paint are you using? Are you using reducer and how much? What's the weather like? How Old is the paint? If you can answer that it would make it a little easier to point you in the right direction. All those things as well as others can have effect on your paint. To me it looks like you may have not used enough reducer or your reducer is drying to fast? Also your application may be too thin and therefore drying before you can get an even coat. The underneath layer, filler, primer, can also have an effect but based off the spray pattern that doesnt look like the case. Also, flat clear is very hard to lay. Tends to dry up fast and has to be layed in one pass. If you dont get it right, there is no fixing it. You have to start over. Just FYI.

And let me add, im not trying to belittle the forum by any means, I think its a wonderful tool and a great resource which i have used many times and has helped me when i get stuck. Its the first place i go to when i need help on my Z. I just dont have the time to constantly be on here.

Hi once again. im sorry i dont have time to be on the forums all day. Email is a million times easier for me. If all the affected parties could please send me an email to paezfs@verizon.net, I will create a special group and email you guys updates that way as a group. i work all day and spend time with my family at night, thats the only way I can do it on my phone. I can also send pictures easier that way. I dont have time to create a URL for each picture. If you guys then feel the need or the obligation to post my updates on here that is fine. I will still try and do it but the next couple of weeks are going to be hectic for me and posting on here sometimes isnt my number one priority. Id rather be finishing up my parts or working on new molds then deal with the gossip. also i dont reply to emails instantly sometimes as i do have my hands in fiberglass or on the grinder most of the day but i check it quite often and rarely miss one. So if everyone that needs new bumpers and the before mentioned conditions apply please send me an email, i still need to create a list of everyone and i will send that out as well. as for the status of the new bumpers, the plugs (parts from which the molds are being made) are 95 percent finished, they just need to be wet sanded and buffed then i can mold them. Molding will most likely take place the first weekend of the new year if not earlier and by the second week i can start sending out new bumpers. i havent started the molds yet. i just finished the plugs completely about a week ago. ill post pics of those. wish i had some extra hands to show them on the cars. test fitted them on 4 different cars and the fit is great. they just need to be polished before molding. im hoping to have them molded by new years. we shall see. im gonna take a few pics of plugs now and upload them.

hey guys sorry been busy, not gone im still here, website is down. im not selling any of those items until i get the new molds. im only going to be selling bumpers and flares from now on. everything else is too much of a hassle to ship so im not going to deal with it. website will probably change names. if you have been emailing me at xclusivekoncepts that is also down so i have not received any of those. i will try and upload the bumper pics tonight. busy for a few more hours but ill try and do it tonight.

Hi guys sorry ive been distant lately. trying to finish up a huge project thats coming to an end over the next couple of days. i have the plugs done. still have not molded them. im gonna be busy with this car over the weekend but come monday i will be molding both bumpers. molds will be ready about wednesday and i will start producing the new bumpers the following week. taking thursday and friday off. they will start shipping on or after the 26th. i will be contacting all the people involved with expecting dates of shipment. i will be doing about two or three sets a week., right now i believe im at 7 people total. front bumper brackets are remaining the same since those work fine. the rear brackets i will be working on over the week so i can place an order from the machinist they have been test fitted and look great. i took a few pics and i will try and upload them tonight if i can make some time.

Update. The front bumper seems to be ready to mold. i have an extra set of hands coming tomorrow to verify that whether or not something needs to be changed. it seems to fit up against the body very snug with about an eight inch gap all the way around. i will try and take pics tomorrow. my guess would be that by next week i will be able to start making the new bumpers. i will upload a list of the people that will be getting new bumpers in the next couple of days and in the order they are going out. Im only going to be able to do 2 or 3 sets a week but should get to all the affected parties in a matter of a few weeks.

hi guys just wanted to update on the status of xclusivekoncepts.com. the site is still up as that. i know there has been some confusion that i was changing that over to jdmflares.com. I am not, they are two separate entities. I uploaded the wrong files to xclusivekoncepts.com by accident and that was showing up as the wrong website. The issue has been fixed. They are two separate things i just made a mistake when i published the files as they are both on the same software. also an update on the bumpers. The new ones should definitely be molded by the end of the week. thank you

@ r-3. You will be taken care of but i cant right now so you must wait. You are right and I agree. The bumpers are not right and that is the reason they are being redesigned. I bought used molds and took the previous owners word. Bad idea. I am giving up my weekends with my family to make sure I get on track with these parts and take care of people. I could have taken the easy way out and screwed everyone but I am still here trying to do the right thing. Im not gonna lie and say i didnt think about it, I could be at home relaxing right now but im still working and trying to get things done. The front bumper is almost done. I will be finishing it this weekend and molding it. Rear bumper is soon to follow. Ive been working on both simultaneously trying to get everyone the correct parts. @ gothalosism They are too long and the waves are caused from the sides pulling in to fit the body. By shortening them and redoing the sides. They should fit very well without the need of bringing the sides in. That will eliminate any waves. @ Kurby I will send you a pm by tomorrow.

I spoke to you last week and again earlier today. not sure how that's ignoring you for 3 weeks? Like i said not everyone is going to be happy, but I'm still trying to work with you. I don't mean to ignore your specific needs, but to be honest that might just be easier. I need to focus on the big picture and provide the masses with a solution not just one person. If you can wait for me to take care of it I most certainly will, if not I truly am sorry, but i would much rather have a whole group happy with me than ignore everyone else to please you. I will have pics of the new bumper up tomorrow. I will try and take some of the part on the car but not sure if I'll be able to have anyone help me hold it so i can take proper pictures.

Update!!! I have been working on the new front bumper. Almost there still needs a few tweaks but should be ready to mold early next week. i will take some pics over the weekend and update you guys. We are making progress!

Sorry guys i got your pm and email. been super busy. Im working late tonight but I will make time tomorrow and respond to everyone. Trying to get ahead on my orders and finish up a huge project on a 510 i have by this weekend and free up some time. Plans are to start working on the new front bumper plug early next week. I will update constantly and offer pictures of the progress so everyone is on the same page. I have a few 260 and 280 z's at the shop and an early 240z coming in next week for paint. Will use those for mock up to make sure the brackets are where they need to be. I will redesign them and provide better grade hardware for ease of installation and durability. Any input is also greatly appreciated. Im building these for you so knowing what you want is also important to me. Please keep your comments relevant to the part that is being built at the moment. I am not interested in making anything else or any one off parts. Like I said I am going to take this one part at a time and perfect it prior to touching anything else. I have my list and will go based off that. Thank you

This is going to take sometime and not be an overnight process. I know not everyone is going to be happy with my solution and I apologize beforehand, but that is the way of the world, can't please everyone. I am going to start from scratch and redo everything. One thing at a time. Every single mold. I will be offering replacement parts to everyone who I know of at the moment that has had issues as the parts are available. Im not offering any refunds just replacements to those who need them and have not altered the product already. This pertains to only orders that I personally received and not anything else that has been ordered through anyone else. I will start with the most popular items and work my way down the list. First with the front bumper, then rear, then flares, etc. Everything will be reworked and remolded and many pictures will be taken and available to everyone on my website. just coming on here one last time to clear some things up. XclusiveKoncepts.com is very much up and still exists. JDMflares.com is not just for the z community. I am changing my product to just fender flares across the board. this means newer cars and different vehicles. Its going to be just about fender flares and overfenders hence the name. obviously GOTHALOSISM and justin must have had a tea party at starbucks or something. Im assuming justin forgot to tell you that i already told him to come pick up his molds. Im not keeping them here because i want to. they just take up room. Justin has yet to come pick them up. also he must have forgotten to show you all the pictures i sent them regarding the differences between his and my wide fender flares. i have the original ones still sitting at my shop. his molds have not been used in months yet im still selling them. even when he finally picks up his molds i will continue to sell them. good luck to the z community and hope all your vehicles get to where you want them. I know i still have a few to work on myself.

Just to clear up the zforce issue. He is waiting on one hood and two molds. Im waiting on payment. our rear bamf flares are made from the same Japanese rears. I custom made my front flares. And I was sellig these on Ebay prior to me making them for Justin. I also told Justin over two months ago I would no longer be making parts for him. I cant keep waiting on payments and im too busy with my orders to make his. I am a two man show and not a big shop. So we are juat focusing on our customers to send out the best stuff possible. We dont want to rush anything. Thanks
