Tony D Posted May 24, 2011 Share Posted May 24, 2011 That is actually the vapor line to the diverter valve on the left inner fender of the car. If pressure builds in the tank, it is vented to the diverter valve and then either to the crankcase, or to the air cleaner. This is all automatic, and when the car is off, the 'crankcase' is your catch tank---when running, depending on pressure in the fuel tank, it either lets air in from the air cleaner, or diverts it to crankcase accumulation. It's already a closed system if all your hoses are intact. No worries -- except those hoses without leaks! Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
