gmodz5000 Posted May 28, 2011 Share Posted May 28, 2011 Hey fellas ived posted here before and have gotten good help... have an l28 motor on my 240 with p90 head carburated motor that has a couple of problem. Well with a back fire and so I got the pertronix igbition Flame thrower and still had a back fire. i recently installed pertronix coil I messed with the timing a lil and drove the car all day still with a backfired just not as much well after trying to start the car after driving it all day it just didn't crank over. I tested everything even hot wired the car it started and i turned it off turned the key trying to start it and again nothing! Idk much about electrical please help... NewZed Posted May 28, 2011 Share Posted May 28, 2011 Your post could use some more details. "Tested everything" - how and what, and what were the results? "Hot wired" - how, what wires went where? Can you hot wire it and get it to start and run consistently? If so, you just need to focus on getting power to the starter and ignition circuit. Can't do much about the backfire until it runs again. gmodz5000 Posted May 29, 2011 Author Share Posted May 29, 2011 Ok well I checked all my connections everything is lose and yes I'm not gettin power to the started. I hot jumped the starter with a battery pack and the the car starter and stayed on! My bat.
