rejracer
I was at the Antelope, CA pic and pull today and found a 72 240z. Build date: 1/72. They had it listed as a 72 280. I guess that's why it's so complete. It had hood, doors, drivers fender and bucket, all lower valence pieces, rear bumper w/bumperetts no over bar, longblock (E88 head), trans, diff, full suspension. Hood was on top of car next to it. Color was white on red. Dash still has speedo and ammeter / fuel gauge. I pulled the front bumper, center console, tach and rear parking brake mechanism. It was rough, and I actually found some of the parts I needed in neighboring cars. There was also a 78 2+2 with a P79 engine and from what I could tell a 4 speed. If I recall correctly, those should have a R200 3:36 ring and pinion. Where is Antelope? Out by Mohave/Lancaster? G
auxilary
No, it's just a little north of Sacramento
rejracer
I pulled the speedo cog, it was black. I did not bother pulling the rear cover. I might go back out and check. 37:11 is the lucky number.
rejracer
I went back today and counted the number of turns on the driveline to make the output flange turn once. It was just past 3.5 turns. I would have pulled it if it were 3.364's.
scorpio516
They don't have the 2+2 online anymore. I've never been to that one, but the Rocklin and Rancho yards usually have a few s130 (all 2 seaters, so not great for me) and occasionally late s30s. rejracer
Their ability to correctly id the cars is pathetic. They had it listed as a 260z, and the 72 240 was listed as a 280z.
